In the heart of Jodhpur, beyond the tourist bustle, lies Gypsy Vegetarian Restaurant – a portal to the fiery soul of Rajasthan. Ascending to the first floor, you're enveloped by the warmth of saffron walls, vibrant tapestries, and the tantalizing aroma of spices that promises a feast for the senses. Here, the spotlight shines on the Rajasthani thali, a symphony of colors and textures painted on a silver platter.
Each bite is a poem spun with fragrant ghee: the earthy comfort of dal bati, the tangy dance of kair sangri, the creamy embrace of curries, and the refreshing whisper of chutneys. The staff, like seasoned storytellers, guide you through the culinary narrative, ensuring each morsel explodes with the perfect melody of tastes. Beware, their generosity is as boundless as the Thar Desert – you might find yourself struggling to navigate the overflowing platter, perhaps wishing for elasticated waistbands!
While some may quibble about the portion size, it's the symphony of flavors and the meticulous preparation that truly captivate. The ever-evolving menu, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to authenticity, keeps every visit a delightful surprise. And as hygiene sparkles like the desert sun on Gypsy's silver platters, you can indulge with complete peace of mind.
However, be aware – Gypsy's charm might not be fully accessible to all. The journey to the thali-filled haven requires sturdy legs, posing a challenge for those who navigate the world on wheels.
But for those with intrepid spirits and empty stomachs, Gypsy beckons. It's an invitation to lose yourself in the vibrant swirl of spices, to savor the stories woven into each dish, and to experience the warm embrace of Marwari hospitality. So, come hungry, come curious, and prepare to be swept away by the glimmering thali – a taste of Rajasthan that will linger on your palate and in your heart long after you leave the desert...

Gypsy is a place where vegetarians can truly indulge. The vegetarian food is nothing short of spectacular, with a variety of dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying. Each dish is crafted with care, making it a pleasure to dine here for any veggie lover.
However, the dining experience at Gypsy is marred by subpar service. While the option to dine in is available, the staff's attentiveness leaves much to be desired. The service can be slow and unresponsive, which can be quite frustrating.
An additional downside is the take-away option, which is notably poor. If you have leftovers, be prepared for disappointment. Gypsy does not pack leftover food, which raises questions about potential discrimination or just poor policy. On top of that, they charge for the containers, which feels unfair since they don't even pack the food for you.
In summary, while Gypsy offers delightful vegetarian cuisine, the overall experience is hindered by unsatisfactory service and an inadequate...
