I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at Diksha Restaurant in Kalyan near station. I visited the restaurant today at 9pm and ordered three items - paneer butter masala, roti, and dal khichdi.
While the paneer butter masala and roti were good, I was convinced by one of your waiters to order dal khichdi. Unfortunately, it was too much in quantity for one person and I could not finish it. Therefore, I requested the staff to pack it so that I could take it home and avoid wastage.
However, when the bill was presented to me, I noticed that there was an additional charge of Rs. 10 for packaging. When I questioned this charge, the waiter informed me that it was a standard charge for packaging. I declined to pay for the packaging as it was not mentioned earlier, and the waiter was not able to provide a satisfactory explanation for the extra charge.
During this interaction, I found the attitude of the waiters to be unprofessional and disappointing. Despite informing the staff that I did not want to pay the extra charge, I was approached again by another waiter on my way out who demanded payment for the packaging.
Eventually, I offered to pack the food in my own tiffin, and the waiter made me do so in the middle of the stairs, which I found to be extremely unprofessional.
I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by your restaurant, which was pathetic and unaccommodating. The behavior of the waiters towards me was unacceptable, and I was extremely disappointed with my overall experience at Diksha Restaurant.
I hope you will take my feedback seriously and take the necessary measures to improve the service provided by...

I had ordered Dosa at the restaurant. The dosa got ready and it was kept at the kitchen table stand which is visible from the table. No one bothered to bring it and serve it. Finally, I had to request to bring it to table. Upon requesting, the served it.
Further, it was observed the Dosa was completely cold. I informed the guy who was very pissed off as I heard him saying to his colleague that he is being asked to do overtime, he didn't bother to respond and walked away. Same guy was mischievous and throwed things at counter placed next to my table without basic sense that customer is sitting and eating "cold" food which was suppose to be "hot". Later, I informed the guy at the cashier table, he reacted same way and didn't respond. After finishing my cold served food, I told the guy at the cashier that's it's so ridiculous that I was served cold food by paying my hard earned money to which he responded as if he doesn't care.
I think the owners should personally look into it. It's not a issue of one person doing wrong. The entire hotel people I interacted from waiter to Cashier seems to be non customer centric guys.
My visit time was 9: 30 PM on 3rd September 2024. Sharing time and details so that owners could track this.
Overall, a disappointing experience and I would recommend do not visit the restaurant if you are expecting good service and good...
Read moreI recently visited Diksha Pure Veg to try their dosa, and my experience was a mix of pros and cons.
Pros:
As a pure veg restaurant, it caters well to vegetarians looking for an authentic South Indian meal. The dosa was crispy and well-made, with a good balance of flavors in the chutney and sambhar.
The prices are reasonable, and the menu offers a wide variety of options for a vegetarian meal.
Conveniently located near Jalyan Railway Station, it's an easy spot to grab a quick bite if you're in the area.
Cons:
The biggest drawback is that it gets quite crowded, especially during peak hours, likely due to its proximity to the station. Finding a seat can be a challenge, and the service tends to slow down when the restaurant is packed.
The ambiance is functional but nothing special. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed dining experience, the bustling atmosphere here might not be ideal.
Overall, Diksha Pure Veg is a decent spot for a quick vegetarian meal, but be prepared for the crowds if you visit...
