Mahalaxmi Veg Treat — Restaurant in Kalyan-Dombivli

I had a halt at Kalyan station so I was looking for a restaurant with good food and ambience. Mahalaxmi Hotel has everything that you are looking for.

We had ordered the following Masala Dosa: the taste was really good. The outer part was crispy and the filling was flavorful. The chutneys and sambar served were equally good.

South Indian Thali: The thali includes 7-8 items that have 2-3 sabjis, dal, rasam, sweetdish, curd, Papad etc. Along with that you get an option to choose between Poori/Chapati/Roti. The thali is more than sufficient for a person and is served with a banana leaf in the plate giving it a south indian touch. Loved the taste of it. Would highly recommend it.

Paneer amritsari kabab: The kababs were decent in taste. It had panner topped with cheese and some coleslaw served on the sides. Amongst the other orders this was my least favourite.

Coffee is good, I didn't like the special tea here.

I recently ordered the special veg thali and South Indian special thali from Mahalakshmi Veg Treat while traveling from Mumbai to Jalgaon. The delivery was prompt, arriving right on time at Kalyan railway station, and was conveniently placed on my seat.

The special veg thali was a delightful assortment featuring two gravy subjis, a paneer sabji, a dry sabji, dal, pulao, three chapatis, rassam, curd, and a sweet shevaiyyan kheer. Each item was flavorful and well-prepared, making for a satisfying meal.

The South Indian special thali included two gravies, a dry sabji, rassam, dal rice, and three rotis. The dishes were authentic and comforting, perfect for a train journey.

The only downside was the packaging. While the food was tasty, the single plate and spoon provided with the box were not very practical for a thali of this nature. Improvements in packaging could enhance the overall dining experience.

Had a bad experience.

So I had a special balaji faluda once, It was good but after a week or two I order it again then it was like a scam they didn't even put everything in that faluda they usually do and did before.

before it had fruit and thik multiple scoop of icecream but now just had once scoop and and jelly on top, something like u get on roadside.

did complaint about it to the manager but looks like it's run by thugs, he was rude plus the manager said if it's bad then bad they can't do anything and they usually make it like this only.
