I asked to pack biryani for myself but what I saw while I was waiting for my take away order is something I can never forget. The place is crowded most of the times and next time if u visit this place u can see for yourself.
The person frying kabab n other stuff in the same pan, kept the ladle in a plastic bucket, under the table filled with water, n it was so dirty that it looked like it was never been washed before.
One person was making chapati n storing it in a casserole. I saw the person who was wiping table just before a minute came n touched chapati without washing his hands. The staff among each other were fighting n verbally accusing one another at the same time. Each person would come n touch those chapati in the casserole n I don't know for what.
The ceiling was hanging half n the over all place is dirty. I know that the food we eat out, given any restaurant is not clean but this was beyond my tolerance level. I could not eat after seeing that n fed biryani to stray dogs.
At the end of day, it's your personal preference n you may b fine with it but in my opinion hygiene is something that you cannot compromise with. Food doesn't have to b fancy but has to b...

We visited Akshay Dham Biryani in Hoskote today with our family, hoping to enjoy a good meal, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience. The biryani served to us was cold and the rice was undercookedâcompletely unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that specializes in biryani.
When we politely raised the issue with the staff, we were shocked by their rude and dismissive attitude. Instead of addressing our concerns, they bluntly said, âThis is how it will be. If you want to eat, you eat. Or else go.â This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also shows a complete lack of respect for customers.
We ended up having a very bad experience, especially disappointing given the amount of money we spent. Definitely not a place we would recommend or return to. Basic courtesy and food quality should be the bare minimum â sadly, this place...
Read moreI recently visited Akshay Dum Biryani, which operates more like a dhaba than a restaurant. To be honest, I found the place not very clean, and hygiene definitely felt like a concern. The biryani itself was quite average, nothing special to justify the early morning hype. The only reason people seem to flock here is that it opens as early as 4 AM, which is rare for biryani places.
Food quantity was okay, but the overall quality didnât feel worth the drive or the price. The state of the store room and how onions & raita are placed doesnât seem fine. Cleanliness is clearly where they need to work on.
While some people might like the rustic dhaba-style vibe, for me, it didnât add much to the experience. Considering the overhyped reputation, I donât see myself visiting again. This place feels more like a one-time try just to tick off your list, not a spot youâd crave...
