Cafe Ajanta Elite — Restaurant in Karnataka

I recently visited Cafe Ajanta Elite in Namma Belagavi, and it was a delightful experience. This authentic South Indian restaurant offers a variety of dishes that are sure to satisfy your taste buds. I had the pleasure of trying Kurma Puri, Misal Bread, Tuppa Dose, and Onion Uttappa.

The Kurma Puri was a standout, with its rich and flavorful kurma perfectly complementing the soft and fluffy puris. The Misal Bread was another highlight, with its spicy and tangy misal paired with fresh bread, making it a must-try dish. The Tuppa Dose was crispy and buttery, while the Onion Uttappa was loaded with onions and had a perfect balance of flavors.

TIP TO TOURISTS: PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THIS HOTEL, EVEN BY MISTAKE. I have been wanting to write this review for a very long time but have been unable to do so. we had been there in feb 2017 on the insistence of my father in law despite me thinking the place looked ordinary. one of the waiters was a great personality. he had no respect for customers, especially tourists. i am from goa. my in-laws, my wife and my 3 yo kid were with me. he was unhappy regarding something and was very rude to us. he was cursing and using cuss words in kannadda. great person didn't know that my in-laws were kannadigas and they understood everything but they didn't tell me what he was saying despite me requesting them to. i wanted to stuff some sense into the great person. finally while leaving, i tipped another waiter on purpose in front of the great person. i had...

One of the best restaurants in Belagavi. Must try are the Dosas, Puri Kurma, Idli Vada. Coffee is also great here. They do serve with quality and has great ambience, a little pricy but its ok.

Update : 6/Sep/2022 Shared some pictures on Kurma Puri and Idli Vada. Again, great taste, good quantity. Chutney is very fresh which what i love about this place. Absolutely no compromise on the chutney quality. I hope they maintain the same. We also tried Neer Dosa this time, it was good, but i think it could've been better. Neer Dosa is supposed to good fresh coconut, but here it tasted more of Dosa with very minimal coconut in it. They didn't serve the coconut as a side which is generally cooked in jaggery and it's an important part of Neer Dosa. Anyway, can't really expect more in Belagavi. More updates...
