Falcon Greens — Restaurant in Karnataka

I recently hosted my marriage lunch reception at Falcon Greens inside Prestige Golfshire Club, and it was undoubtedly the best decision I made. The venue was absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush greenery, and offered breathtaking views of the golf course and the hills beyond.

The staff at Falcon Greens were exceptional, providing impeccable service and attention to detail throughout the event. They were always available to address any questions or concerns I had, and went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

The food was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the event. The menu was diverse, with a range of dishes to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with each dish showcasing the chef's creativity and culinary expertise.

Every guest at the event enjoyed their lunch, and many of them commented on how impressed they were with the venue and the quality of the food. The ambiance at Falcon Greens was perfect for the occasion, with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that encouraged guests to mingle and enjoy themselves.

The place is a mixed bag. First the positives:

Great ambience, the entire property is lush green particularly in the monsoon season when we visited and the dining area/deck is situated adjacent to the golf course and offers nice views of the nearby Nandi Hills

Brunch spread (overall) is fairly large

Now for the not-so-positive bits:

The place gets REALLY crowded on weekends, and it becomes borderline unpleasant if there is a golf tournament or special event going on.

Related to point 1 above, is the slippage in service quality and attention during the busy hours. Better to factor that in when you plan your visit. It’s not that the staff are lacking in their focus, just that the load becomes a bit too much during periods of high traffic. We had the live pizza counter forget our order altogether, despite a reminder.

The veggie options were nothing to write home about in terms of taste, they were just about ok and our guests were not at all impressed with the freshness and taste of seafood options (particularly the Sushi dishes)

No valet parking available - it is a bit of walk (and an uphill trek) to get to the dining area from the open car park

TL;DR version: great ambience, so-so in taste...

i rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was unfortunately far below even basic expectations. to start, the food was utterly tasteless; lacking seasoning, freshness, and any discernible culinary care. every dish felt like it had been prepared without attention or care.

the ambience didn’t help either. the decor was tired and uninspired. tables were covered with dusty, worn-out cloths, and the cutlery provided looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned or replaced in years. it gave the whole place a neglected, unhygienic feel.

to make matters worse, the dining area was extremely noisy, with no effort made to control acoustics or provide a comfortable environment for conversation. the final straw was the presence of flies hovering around the food and tables, making it feel more like an outdoor food stall than a sit-down restaurant. it was deeply unappetizing and frankly unacceptable for any establishment claiming to serve food in a safe environment.
