Kritunga Electronic City — Restaurant in Karnataka

I was told that this place serves very good and spicy Briyani ( from a co worker who has been to Kirtunga chain of restaurant like for 50-60 times ). Because of the word of mouth I got from my colleagues, we went there as a team to try out as many dishes as possible ( literally wanted to have very spicy food to extend that we cry )

Given the background, what I experienced was something totally different. We reached restaurant, got our table and there was a foul smell ( may be from Menu cards or the cloth used for cleaning table ), it was really unpleasant. Then the Menu cards are torn ones, there was not even a single proper menu card. We ordered our food, both veg and non veg together. Veg food was delivered late. They ( veg ppl) completed their main course and still non vegetarian orders ( mainly Briyanis ) were waiting for it to be served ( so u can imagine the amount of delay ). Rotis had some green stain on them ( when inquired they just changed the roti ), I didn't get what that green patch was. The briyani was not spicy at all ( there was no masala in it ), when we asked them why is it so, the respomse was " We asked for spicy Briyani so it's less spicy". Then we asked for just masala, they gave us plain Briyani rice, again asked for masala and we were served BURNT BOTTOM OF BRIYANI. I asked for coke which took 15 minutes for serving ( they didn't have coke, aft 15 minutes they asked if am ok with Thumbs up and served that ).

That was such a bad experience.

Cons: The veg food ( paneer dish ) was good. Actually the briyani taste was good ( if u r not looking for spicy )

It may be a off day for this restaurant that day or only this branch...

My experience with this restaurant was terrible. I went to this restaurant with my friends. Half were veg and half were non veg. For vegetarians, I would recommend that stay away from this restaurant. They pay heed to only non-vegetarians.

Their waiters won't listen to you, even after calling them for multiple times. We placed an order for 2 kadai paneer and instead received one paneer butter masala, they served it calling it kadai paneer. We said that we ordered two curries, then waiter said he will bring the second one. Then after 15 minutes, we asked where our order was, he said they are making it. Then after another 10 minutes we asked the status, they said we are bringing it. Our second curry arrived after 45 minutes.

Later we order dal fry, asked them to bring bowls, but they did not bring it. We again called a waiter and said that we need bowls, they did not bring it again. We had to go to reception, after that they brought it. Then we asked them to bring water jug, for that also we had to call 3 different waiters, then finally a friend of mine went to reception and then they gave us water jug. We asked to give spoons to eat dal, for that too they took 25 minutes.

Overall, if you are vegetarian, do not visit this place. They won't pay heed to you. Neither will they treat you probably! For their poor hospitality I am...

It was a decent experience, not all that good, expected bit more from Kritunga. I personally felt the Sahakar Nagar outlet is the only good one around in Bengaluru, however, this was average. We ordered the usual spicy avakayi biryani and the special chicken biryani (boneless) along with Guntur chicken. The guntur chicken was surprisingly more like pepper chicken with the black gravy yet medium to high spiciness so that compensated for the change of color. The special chicken biryani was decent, quantity is ample and besides being bit oily it was well cooked. However, the major disappointment came in form of the avakayi biryani it was literally the same as boneless biryani except addition of the avakayi pickle but the chicken pieces were hard and chewy not good as much as the former. Found the biryani to be bit overrated, the service was decent though unlike other reviews that calls out poor service I felt the rush at the outlet was being managed decently well by the staff. However, this wasn't the expected avakayi biryani that I had in Sahakar Nagar outlet.
