My recent visit to Lotus Family Restaurant left much to be desired. Initially, the restaurant appeared promising from the outside, but unfortunately, the experience took a nosedive once we stepped inside. Despite its name suggesting a family-friendly establishment, the reality was quite different. I visited the restaurant with my family on a weekend, hoping for a pleasant dining experience. However, we quickly realized that there was no separate space designated for families. This lack of segregation made the environment feel chaotic and unsuitable for a peaceful family meal. To make matters worse, the tables in the restaurant were visibly stained, which immediately made us question the cleanliness and hygiene standards. This aspect alone contributed to our discomfort and further reinforced our decision to leave without partaking in any food. As a result of our dissatisfaction, we decided to explore alternative dining options in the vicinity. It was unfortunate that Lotus Family Restaurant did not meet our expectations, as we were hoping for a pleasant and family-friendly atmosphere. Given our experience, I would hesitate to recommend Lotus Family Restaurant to those seeking a relaxed and comfortable dining experience with their families. The lack of a separate family area, combined with the stained tables, created an unwelcoming environment that detracted from what could have been an enjoyable meal.

Happened to pop into this restaurant and was wonderfully surprised. First, access - it’s on the highway and made for a perfect stop for lunch as we were driving through. Lots of room for parking and once done, you just slide back to the highway. Second, service - nothing like being greeted by smiling staff when you’ve made a highway pitstop. The staff were also very helpful to suggest some real local specialties that we hadn’t tried before. Lastly, the food - it was a unique taste of Karwar we were looking for and we were not disappointed! The tawa fried fish was fabulous (thanks to the staff for the recommendation!), not as fiery as it looked but just right for lunch! The prawns were fresh, not overpowered by the masala and was a perfect partner to the fish. Along with the homely fish curry, it was just what we were looking for. Also, love the large painted murals on the walls. In all, would definitely recommend a visit!

Very bad and pathetic experience. Lack of good service. So many reminders we have to give after placing the order. Staff is ignoring customers. Whatever you will order, there is waiting period of 25 to 45 minutes. In our case, we have ordered 5 thalis they forgotten to cook 1 thali. Schezwan chatani was not there. Soya sauce was not there. At goa or mumbai small road side restaurants also hv schezwan chatani, soya sauce.

Unpleasant experience. No one shoud go to such kind of bad service...
