Rasa — Restaurant in Karnataka

We had a package of breakfast and lunch/dinner in Sterling Karwar. First day dinner had multiple veg and 3 non veg options in buffet. Breakfast was mostly veg and choice of eggs. Overall food was okay, but lacked a bit in variety and taste was average. Dinner time Red Thai curry chicken was bland. Could feel that the chicken was chewy. Honey coated chilly chicken was better but lacked consistency, many pieces seemed bland due to the lack of sufficient sauce. Home style chicken was fine. Paneer pagoda was bland, cold. Tandoori roti was fine. Breakfast Upma was good. Dosa can be much better. Medu vada was very oily. Chole Batura was decent. Watermelon juice was very watery. The second dinner had a couple of fish items. Instead of white rice there was fried rice and Chinese style gravy chicken. Overall this was not bad. Desserts were served at the table. Chef was at the tables asking about the food. The veg soup was also pretty good. The second day we avoided the dosa. Kid liked the veg sandwiches and pancakes. The medu vada was much better. Service was very good overall. Service staff provided food at the table as requested. Anguri even went further and gave us honey for the kids pancakes.

Apart from these we also had lunch in the room with butter chicken , french fries and plain rice. This was quite okay.

Ambience was good. Overall decent experience. I think some speciality items need to be added to make the buffet...
