I normally don't weigh in reviews to pick a restaurant, because taste is an individuals personal choice and preferance..
But i read some positive reviews about M2 and became our pick for lunch today being a pure veg diner.
Okay, here goes..
First impression took us aback, hardly anyone in the restaurant at peak lunch time is a mood spoiler and put my mind in doubt about it's worthiness.
We ordered Starters.. Cream of Tomato - Soup /2 (5/10) Achari Paneer Tikka (1/10) Fresh Lime Water (3/10) Blue Sky (5/10)
Mains.. Chatpata Veg (6/10) Phulka plain (5/10) Phulka Butter (6/10) Peas Pulao (7/10)
While majority of the items were average tasting or a little better so i wont talk about them.
When we order Fresh Lime Water, it needs to be made with chilled water unless specified for normal water. It was made with regular water was dissappointing enough, they made it with so little salt and sugar both that we had to send it back to be adjusted.
It was my 1st ordering Achari Paneer Tikka and i am filled with so much self doubt after ordering it... it was almost disusting! They rubbed mixed veg pickle onto paneer and roasted it on the tandoor.. i mean we actually got the lime and mango pieces and so tangy as no pacifying curd/yogurt was used.
Finally, they apparently don't give any sides for Pulao.. i was expecting a raita in the least..
They told us "No" to a finger bowl.. how difficult is it to just get a slice of lime in a bowl of luke warm water..
I will very likely never go back there and don't recommend it to others either.
About ambiance and service just make up your mind from my review...
Read moreBased on Ratings went to try this restaurant, completely dissapointed.
Scarcity of staff because there is only one server and only one person who takes order.
When we arrived we were the only one there and tried placing order. First sentence was sir we dont have any pasta or noodle items. Then we ordered fried rice and veg manchurian. The person came and said sir veg manchurian is also not available. Then we ordered mushroom chilli, honey chilli potato , dal khichdi for a kid and mentioned to make it without any chilly and a veg thali.
Mushroom chili was ok, honey chilli potato was some french fried fried in a sweet sauce and the veg thali arrived after 1 hour plus. Dal khichdi was having green chillies even after mentioning that it was for a child
And this was all on a weekend. Not sure how people have rated this more than 4 stars.
Wont recommend this...
Read moreJust wanted to try it once, hence visited. Place looks wow but food does not go with this wow. We ordered veg manchow soup( it was more like hot and sour soup with sour dominating) , tomato soup( toooo sweet. It was more like a desert rather than starter dish) , veg fingers( oki but too oily, compared to other places) and Daal khichadi (was very good. Raita was served on request as nothing was given along with daal.khichadi) which was prepared against order and not in the menu). With so many good restaurents in 1-2kms radius, they can't run for long with this...
