OK. Let me start with the great things and then describe the not so good things (or stuffs that could be drastically improved). Pros: Great location Ample parking A mini play area for kids to play (a slide and a tunnel to crawl through) A nice staff (especially this person called Mamata who really helped us through my kid's birthday party). Hats off to her A separate Birthday area where you could celebrate special occasions.
Cons: There was no water in the washroom!!!. Considering this is one of the unique MacD outlets in this area (with the next one being about 7 kms off in Forum Value Mall), it was just shocking to see that people were asked to use tissues to wipe their hands. Apparently the plumber was fixing something with water supply there, but a unit such as MacD should handle these, it's brand name is at stake. Billing took a long time. I had to wait for quite some time to get my final amount to settle, but I will discount it off. The place was crowded and there were more or less understaffed. The Birthday area is too small. At the most it can accommodate about 20 kids. If you also include the parents, then you are already looking at people struggling to move around and breath. They do give you a Bluetooth speaker that you could pair with your phone and play songs. But unfortunately for us, the sub woofer was not working :-( I had to play the songs over...
Read moreI've lived and traveled in 5 countries so far. This specific McDonald's is the worst of all. Staff is not aware of any details. You end up asking many many questions due to their lack of understanding and knowledge of their own business unit. They don't understand their own combo offers, contents of the orders. Staff Isn't cooperative at all. I go here only when absolutely necessary but even then, end up having an argument with them every single time. Language barriers, for some reason, this branch is always unclean and dirty. Worst part is the food preparation time. Not sure why but I end up spending 20 to 30 minutes waiting for my food to arrive. Once I ordered a cupcake for my kid, and, they heated it so much, it started to melt. And, they just kept it on the tray. I requested for a plate and the lady at the counter (after arguing with me) banged the plate on the tray and spoke in Tamil. I never understood why. Parking is a fiasco. I always visit this place with my Kid because she loves the McDonald's Meal offers. And, every single time, I'm denied the toy that comes with it. I literally have to fight to get it. I would recommend this place only and only if your wife/Mother/Girlfriend has thrown you out of the house and you have a lot of money to waste while getting either insulted or irritated. Food is obviously good because it's a...
Read moreI’ve visited McDonald’s several times in the past, but this recent experience was genuinely dreary. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Burger expecting something at least remotely flavorful. Sadly, it tasted like regret in a bun. It was bland, dry, and completely not worth the price. Honestly, I felt bad for the chicken. What did it ever do to deserve this? Hoping the drink would redeem the meal, I tried the Berry Cooler. But I had to add some sugar to it myself to stop from choking on the ice cubes. I thought my taste buds had given up on life. The entire meal was devoid of a soul and felt as empty as my wallet when I left the place. They’ve added a new item to the menu, the “Yummy Chicken Burger.” To be fair, this one was better and it felt like some actual effort went into making it taste like food. I'll give it a few weeks. To top it off, the girl at the counter was surprisingly smudge... I mean smug. She gave a performance worthy of her salary. I remember dining out as a kid when the meals were happy and so were we. Alas, our kids will never experience it, I'm afraid. Be better, McDonald’s, be better. And pay your employees some money, for God's sake. Seems like they are losing their will to live. Overall: 1/5. One star for the new burger, and none for lack of trying. And unless things improve, I won’t be in a...
