If you are visiting this cafe based on the Brand Name (Raasta Cafe), then you are in for a big disappointment. I drove almost 6KMs on a bad stretch of road to visit this place to find that the food is so pathetic!
Located in between the paddy field, the vibe of this cafe is really cool. It has a huge parking area, a grand pathway and a vibrant ground seating cafe with simple decoration & meaningful writings around. It has also got an event area with a stage, fire place at the centre and an open bar setup. No doubt, that the atmosphere is energetic, vibrant and groovy with the nice selection of songs playing in the background.
But, when it comes to FOOD, it just loses its card. We ordered French Fries and Onion rings for the starters. Onion rings were hard & bland and the French fries were too smelly & not crispy enough. Seeing the quality of starters we refrained from ordering any main course. However, the Banana Coconut Milkshake was good.
The service is straight forward and to the point. Our order was taken & delivered on time. But, someone approached us in the middle of our dining session to sell the guided tour package which was kind of uncomfortable.
The hygiene factor was good all over the restaurant. The menu feels way too pricey considering the quality of food they offered. They accept UPI & Cash for the payment.
Road which leads to this cafe is very narrow and uneven. So, drive carefully.
I DO NOT recommend this cafe as it's not even worth your sheer effort to reach this place and there are a lot of better options around.

REPLY TO THE MANAGEMENT'S COMMENT:
Dear Rasta Cafe Management,
Instead of accepting that food was bad & a promise to improve it in future, you are alleging about customer's behaviour. Even after having such pathetic food we didn't raise any issue, promptly paid the bill & vacated your cafe. Moreover, please enlighten me how customers behaviour will impact the taste of food? Your rude reply with baseless allegations shows your commitment towards hospitality and thanks for showing it...
Read moreThis was my first time as a female solo trip, and I stayed in Rasta Cafe Hampi for three days. As I was promised by them, I felt very, very safe and had a great time there.
From the pick up, to touring South Hampi and dropping in the Hospet bus stop, Raju Auto Anna was very friendly and made sure of my safety. He was very kind, shared with me contact details of the person where I wanted to go, and was fluent in English, which made it easy for me to communicate with him. Wherever he meets me on the way, he stops his auto and talks to me and leaves, which was very kind of him.
The food, stay, vibe, and the people of Rasta Cafe were very friendly and great. The ambiance of the cafe was very artistic and energetic. It was full of life than just mere decorations. Raj Bhai (owner of the cafe) was very friendly and, as promised, he provided me with a safe and enjoyable environment. Even the people who work there were very friendly and shared me their number so that in case of anything, I can contact them. I rented a scooter for 2 days from the cafe at a very good deal.
The food, the variety, Chai, live music, and the vibe of the place were out of the world. I really enjoyed their Masala Chai a lot. There was a campfire, a small bar setup, and a stage as well. All the seating indoors and outdoors was very artistic. It's a great place to stay and enjoy as a solo traveler/family/friends. Anyone can enjoy one's stay there and feel the...
