Location is a bit inside, at first we missed the place as we did not notice the board. We have to leave our footwear outside, so in the entrance we can see footwear lying everywhere. As we enter there will be no place to sit in peak hours so we have to wait. It is only in the ground floor and non AC seating. They offer only meals: chapati meal, jolad rotti meal and holige meal(only Monday). Our tables got cleaned after 20mins(it had plates of old customers). We ordered Jolad rotti meal and assumed that rotti will be served in unlimited quantity. Then again we waited for 20 more mins. Then came a thali with 2 types palya(very less quantity), agasi chutney, shenga chutney, karindi, chitranna, mosru, uppinkayi, majjige, raagi ambli, godhi payasa, 1 rotti. We finished one rotti and another was bought. After that the rotti was chargeable (20rs per rotti). Rotti was very thin. We were not satisfied and ordered 1 extra. Then later rice was served with nugge kai sambar. Sambar was not at all tasty. As it was summer and there was no AC and it was filled with people, we were getting baked in heat. I felt the food was not worth the price we paid. We left unsatisfied. Khanavali food would have been better than...
Read moreThese guys have opened hotel rather than opening a temple... they have kept some God’s photos and that’s why they ask us to leave the footwear’s outside and they cant keep the floor clean and tidy... cannot walk to wetty hand wash passage, it is soo disgusting to go to washroom without footwears.
And next part is food and service... earlier it was soo good, but now it has become the worst... service was pathetic and food wasn’t tasting good at all... we went around 3.45PM and directly ordered 4 meals which was costing 150 INR (LIMITED 2chapatis and rice with tasteless payasa and decaying curd) and came out at 4.55 PM. That’s why, please don’t waste your time by going to this restaurant...
Sorry guys I had forgot one main thing while writing the review... now I am editing this again. When the meal plates arrived, we were happy that we are getting meals... but they just gave the plates without chapati. That was so disappointing. One of my frnd, started with his 3-4 bite of his, he found a live cockroach walking around the plate and it countinued it’s journey on chapatis and all over the plate... meanwhile we were calling the waiter, I was guarding my plate... Later on they changed his plate and resumed their lengthy hospitality... RIP to hotel...
Read moreThis is one of the cleanest and hygienic north karnataka khanavalis I have seen. This is a khanavali which serves authentic north karnataka jolada rotti meals. The meal comes with 2 jolada rotti and 2-3 types of curries and lemon rice, sweet, curd, butter milk, kosambari, papad, rice, sambar and rasam, The rotties are limited to 2 numbers and the rice is unlimited. One has to remove their footwear outside the restaurant which keeps the restaurant clean inside, and the servers wear masks and head caps which is appreciated and keeps the food hygienic. Food taste was very good with authentic north Karnataka taste. A highly recommended place for the people who love to have North Karnataka Rotti Meals. Not too crowded when we visited but the place has adequate space to accommodate a good number of customers at once. When it comes to parking, the restaurant doesn't have its own parking and the entrance of the restaurant is narrow and one cannot take any two or four wheelers. One has to find their parking on the busy road where the restaurant is located. Near the NH this will be a good lunch place for those who are travelling through...
