“The Pump House” is now in Whitefield, and now for sure it will reduce a lot of travel time for the Whitefield residents. We were at the restaurant at around 12:20 and the entrance welcome was pretty warm. Dining was at the 1st floor and we were offered place to sit in right in front of speaker. Since we were 4 they were adamant on not making us sit on table for 6 and not offer us any alternatives. We requested to reduce the volume so we could enjoy dining which they didn’t so after insisting persistently they give us another table for 4 to sit. We don’t know why it took them such a long time to show us alternative place.
WORD OF CAUTION : PLEASE NOTE THE MICROBREWERY IS NOT YET OPEN. Expected to open mid Dec. If you are going for the beer then please call and check. They are still offering bottled beer and other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
Now let’s get to the overall restaurant ambiance, food, service. I’m sure the evening view in this place would be awesome as the daylight it self had a rich beautiful interiors. It’s definitely an instaworthy placeinteriors. Now let’s get on the food. We ordered below
Roast Pepper Pork - If no one has tasted the dish from the kitchen it shouldn’t be kept in the menu. Basically it was 75% of FAT and 15% meat and 10% Masala. Didn’t feel anything like Roast it was more like boiled pork just put on a wok to mix the masala and served it. I have put the before and after pic for you know. Refrain ordering it unless you are happy eating the fat. We tried a piece of fat to see the taste it wasn’t even roasted. Rating 0/5
Pepperoni Pizza - It wasn’t a sour dough just normal pizza dough. Medium crust and it’s not thin crust. Decent amount of pepperoni slices. The taste was OK not great. Rating 2/5
Thai Green Curry Chicken - We ordered Chicken Green curry and ended up having served Veg. When I asked they said it’s chicken but I couldn’t find a single piece. One of the waiter (Pema) noticed it and went to kitchen to identify the issue and ended up getting the chef and the right order to our table. Since I started eating it I insisted not to swap and keep it for next order. The chef was apologetic and said would change the dish. Since the curry taste was so original we didn’t want to change it. If you ever want to eat Thai Green curry this is the place (expect a mess). My rating would be higher if the spice would be a notch higher to balance the sweetness of coconut milk. Rating 3.5/5
Nasi Goreng Chicken - True to its nature extremely well presented and served. The rice was perfect a little spicy as you eat it with the eggyork it neutralized the spice. The chicken satay was excellent taste. What we missed was kimchi and prawn crackers instead we were served with Sandige. Overall the presentation, food taste, portion size and the price was very good. Couple of missing element put the overall rating low. Rating 3.5/5
Service - I already mentioned the siting dilemma. Then we got a waiter Saheb. Who felt like forced to work. Had no courtesy and we had to call him multiple times to place an order. We place our order for main course at 1:05pm and received it at 1:40pm. It felt like they went to the market to buy the ingredients and started cooking. Pema who was another waited noticed us being unhappy when we called Saheb about the green curry and as mentioned above sorted the matter and ended up getting the chef. After all the drama we were finally graced by the manager to not charge the Veg Thai Curry. As we ate the food we insisted that it should be billed as Veg Green Curry and paid for it. Typical behavior of restaurants to mess the order and give complimentary food to get better rating. The entire experience to dine was so bad and miserable that I wouldn’t want to go, since the food was good and I would definitely want to try their brew once they open with their brewery section will visit again. For now my service rating would be -5/5.
Total bill just slightly less than ₹2000+ including 7.5% of Service...
Read moreIt wasn't perfect but I'll still give a 5-star review because: They noted our reservation that we did via Google before their opening time We got AC room as wished Food didn't take too long to arrive and the mains arrived together Staff informed about food waiting time Generous size/portion of food Grilled pork chop was good. The peri peri fries were nice and crunchy. Spaghetti was saucy and creamy. Garlic bread was delicious. Tiramisu was great, big portion enough for 2 to enjoy. Nice atmosphere and ambience Friendly & responsive staff and Manager Very clean toilet with aromatic lemon grass smell, sufficient space, tissues and soap. FINALLY soap where they do not mix water to save money in the pettiest way. All the staff truly cared about the feedback we gave. It wasn't even bad but they still compensated us. They use high quality products for their cocktail. I saw some good brands there. :) Restaurant is located by the main road and easy to spot
The slight cons: The steak cutting knife came maybe 5-10 minutes after I started eating pork chop using a butter knife. Hopefully next time they can serve that together with the steak. The Pina Colada had half foam and half liquid but that is one of the feedback they will work on. The music was very repetitive. The entire album was Sam Smith. I heard the song "Money on my Mind" 5 times (one was remixed though) we stayed for about 2.5 hours. Craft beer was on the menu but not available. Downstairs where the bar is, 4G connection (Airtel) was very weak. I had to walk outside near the street to get signal. Like every single place in Bangalore, they ask for personal details like name and number. We had to request not to give those which they accepted but it's annoying that this is asked in every single business (restaurants, shops, retail, etc.)

Read moreI recently visited a place near Kadugodi, just 2 km from Hope Farm Signal, and had a generally positive experience. The highlight was definitely the beer – it had a great taste and was freshly brewed, which added to the overall enjoyment of the visit.
The food was another pleasant surprise. It not only tasted good but was also quite flavorful. The menu seemed to offer a variety of options, catering to different preferences.
The ambience of the place was noteworthy. It had a nice and captivating atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot for a meal or drinks with friends.
However, my only disappointment was with the service. While the staff was friendly, there was a significant delay in serving dishes. Waiting for 25-35 minutes for food can be quite frustrating, especially when you’re hungry.
Our recent dining experience was quite delightful as we savored some delicious dishes. We started with the potato fries seasoned with peri peri, which had a flavorful kick to them. The BBQ chicken wings were a treat for the taste buds, and the chicken wontons were equally satisfying.
One of the highlights of this place is its spaciousness and comfortable furniture, including chairs. It provided a relaxed and inviting atmosphere to enjoy our meal. Plus, the presence of two large TVs allowed us to catch an exciting Ind vs AUS match, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit.
Overall, it was a great outing with tasty food, a comfortable ambiance, and the added bonus of watching a thrilling...
