Chotanikara Shree Bhagavatikshetra is a famous mega temple in Chotanikara which lies adjacent to Kochi city in Ernakulam district of Kerala.... It is one of the most important Bhagavathy temples in Kerala. Goddess Mahalakshmi, also known as Chotanikara Amma, is enshrined in this temple along with Lord Vishnu. So in the concept of LakshminarayanaSri Bhagavathy is worshiped here. Mahalakshmi and Lord Vishnu have equal importance in this temple. It is for this reason that the famous names “Amme Narayana, Devi Narayana, Lakshmi Narayana, Bhadre Narayana” originated from this temple. Although the main deity is Mahalakshmi, Bhagwati is mainly worshiped in three forms in this temple. Wrapped in a white garment, she became Mahasaraswati (Kollur Mukambika) is worshiped in the morning, in the afternoon as Sri Bhadrakali in a red garment, and in the evening as Durga, the slayer of sorrows, wrapped in a blue garment. It is also conceived as Sri Parvati due to the presence of Mahadeva. Chotanikarayamma is thus conceptualized as "Adiparashakti or Rajarajeshwari" as she is worshiped in all the major forms of Bhagavathy. Mental illness and personality disordersIt is believed that Chotanikarayamma will solve the endless miseries. Due to this, many mentally ill people, suffering from mental breakdown and other problems come here to worship. Chotanikara is one of the hundred and eight Durga temples. After Sabarimala, Guruvayoor and Kodungallur, Chotanikara is the most visited Kerala temple by devotees....

Read moreDined here with family. To be frank, we were utterly and extremely disappointed with the quality and quantity of food. Since Hotel Aaryas, Chottanikkara was full we decided to dine here. We ordered masala Dosa and normal Dosa. When I opened the masala Dosa we were shocked. It was just some bland tasteless mass of potato. That too hardly a tablespoon. Vada was horrible. Tasted like it was a day old. Chutney and sambar was just plain coloured water. Finally let's talk about the bill. For the masala Dosa, vada, Dosa the amount was high. That too for this disgusting flavour and taste. After washing my hands I wanted to ask the person in the counter what the hell is this. But my family calmed me.
I was in Coimbatore for 16 years and I know the real taste of Annapoorna. This restaurant tarnished that image.
Will never recommend this place to anyone to dine....
