Café Coffee Day — Restaurant in Kerala

This is regarding the order I placed today at ccd through magicpin delivered by zomato.

I ordered a cake at 11.30am. The restaurant accepted the order at 11.33. Then they disabled ordering from magicpin within a couple of minutes. The cake wasn't out for delivery even after 1 hour. So I called the restaurant and they didn't pick the call. Then I called the delivery agent from zomato and asked him to give the phone to the restaurant manager. He told

"I didn't pick the call when he called". I asked him to tell on which number he had called me. He told me some other number which wasn't mine. "They didn't get any notification regarding the order". Then how on earth did he accept the order for preperation? The delivery agent was assigned only after the order was confirmed by the restaurant. "The order is already delivered". How can I get the order when the delivery agent is still at the restaurant?

They tried to deny my order in all ways possible and I recorded all calls too. Finally I contacted a higher authority, did send him all proofs regarding the order and was assured my order will be delivered. Finally it was delivered after 2 hours.

I don't know why these guys see magicpin as some alien app. I've ordered using magicpin gift cards from the same outlet from last year as well. I've ordered using this app from many restaurants across trivandrum as well as in metro cities like Bangalore, Delhi, mumbai etc. Simply that it isn't popular in trivandrum doesn't mean it's fraud. Anyway this will be my last order from ccd kulathoor. Attaching some screenshots as well.

Used to the best cafe (No. 1) in Trivandrum, when it was CCD. Now, it is "The Coffee Day".

Coffee wasn't exceptional, but good - Cappuccino Grande. Tasted like a cappuccino for sure (not the great old taste) and wasn't hot enough. It was like it cooled down a bit after prep.

The Service is the biggest letdown. The order counter staff (lady) needs training. Who ever stands there, is going to be the face of the cafe. The other staff (male) who brought order seemed more professional.

Professional etiquettes were earlier ingrained in the operations of this outlet, earlier, by its staff.

Atmosphere, well u can't beat this cafe atmosphere anywhere else in Trivandrum. It's a blessed spot in Kowdiar ♥️.

There were pedestal fans earlier, now it has been removed.

Hence the visit. Would genuinely love to see this cafe rejuvenating back to life. It's been there since ages, even is shown in many old movies ....

I went to their Kazhakuttom shop along with my friends and client from Germany. I was trying to buy some items to give to my colleague as part of the Christmas Santa child activity. Things were not in proper arrangement and due to which one bottle fell down and these guys added to my. The issue was not that i paid for that accident, but they included that in the client's bill, that too without any hints. It was such an awkward moment and i was forced to have a long discussion to reverse that charge from my client's bill and to pay it separately. If we hadn't looked at the bill, we would have left that place without even noticing the fact that they charged, leaving the broken bottle there. Above all, we ordered some coffee and these guys provided the same only after sorting all issues. We spent almost 75 min there and the client was really disappointed with their service, which was not a surprise to me. Overall it was such an embarrassing event and me and my colleagues will not even think about taking any of our clients anymore to...
