D'fort Light house restaurant , thankassery is an upcoming trendy restaurant and restobar. It's a place you can have family dining and they serve liquor also, All food items here won't disappoint you and the tastes and service will make you happy and worth to visit again. Fried rice, kadai chicken, porotta etc we tried. They have a fantastic sea view and love music arranged to sooth the mood. Sea view, good music, good food, good vibe and that too at premium pricing will attract you to D light house

Horrible experience with the roof top restaurant. Service not at all appreciated as water, the very basic thing was not served till we requested for the same. Food ordered took like ages to come and that too in stages, which is not appreciated at all. Smoking was another big problem as everybody around were smoking. I doubt if they have a non smoking area for families at all. I personally don't suggest this place at all, specially for families and also small kids.

The location and ambiance are fantastic, especially at night, with a stunning view of the lighthouse. However, the food is disappointing, including the seafood, which is overloaded with masala and artificial coloring that I didn’t enjoy. The service is poor, with just one person handling orders, serving, and cleaning, making it chaotic and extremely slow. It took far too long for the food to arrive, which was frustrating.

The ambience of the place is just beautiful. May be it's because of the sunset overlooking the light house. It is one of the few places in Kollam where you have the ambience of a European bar. The drinks are decent. About the food, chicken tikka was fantastic. It had the right kind of spices to my taste. The cook on the meat was just right. I am sure I am going back again :)
