Hotel Kuttanadan Park — Restaurant in Kerala

This is not a review since there is not much to review, but sharing an experience. Based on the hype from food bloggers (Mostly paid reviews) I visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and there was a sufficient crowd waiting for food (probably by the hype made).

The staff at the counter which is not used to such crowds were clueless and showed attitude at the customers. They don't even look at your face or respond to your queries. So we decided to take a parcel, which is again a nightmare since they don't even bother to answer you in spite of me standing right in front of the cash counter and speaking to the man at the counter. I waited for 20 mins for the man to speak - no luck. There are very established restaurants like hotel annapoorna nearby and serving good food. Better try them, don't fall for paid...

The Pothin Kaalu was extremely good, reasonably priced (90rs per piece) and delicious. Parotta was cold. Puttu items were good. Duck Mappas was tasty. Tea was also good.

Took them a long time to serve the food as there is limited number of staff. Hopefully it will be rectified in the coming days. The wash area needs to more cleanly maintained, not a big issue, but still might be a turn off for some people. Parking is a big plus as there is ample space for it.

I would recommend going, but would advice to order only Puttu, and not the bread items. Don't forget to try the Pothin Kaalu (might get finished if you reach...

Hotel Kuttanadan Park, been there a couple of times, its a normal looking restaurant which serves naadan types of food. I don't think I have had this good Duck Roast from anywhere else in Trivandrum before. Recently the combo I tried was Porotta with Duck Roast and Tomato Fry(and it was swell!). Duck Roast with Appam is also a nice combo. Its a bit crowdy during peak hours and its not as fancy as we might imagine the place when we see the restaurant name, but I will surely recommend their naadan food.
