So, I had terrible experience with this hotel before. They have now renovated and is looking good. I visited again today to check how are they doing. WORST SERVICE than earlier, but in a good looking space. Basically there is no service at all. We have to pay and wait for the parcel for 40-50 minutes, and then open the parcel and eat in the hotel. If we go as a group, one person will miss all the fun while waiting.I didn't take pictures. But please scroll down you can see other customer reviews with pictures of their misery of walking around with parcel covers in the so called restaurant. Why should they parcel the food when they have a big dining space and enough employees. The only job they do is show us the counter to pay the bill and give a plate on ask and we have to open all the packets and eat in that clutter. The owner must have some high regards about the food that he thinks people will wait so long and go through all these hassles so that they get some great food. The food is not worth at all for these efforts. When I was walking in I saw one customer walking out saying "varandairnnu m**njiya kada". That should have been my first clue that the place is horrible. But I gave it a shot anyway. If you are making us parcel the food why do you have a big restaurant space? Local parcel shops provide better service than this. People go to restaurants with family and friends is to order food and have a great time with them while they wait together for food. Else we go take parcel and can go home and open it. Thank lord you didnt ask to clean the table and wash plates. I also agree with that customer.
"Varandayirunnu".
Forgot to mention the AC room with no AC and the waiters forcing to go down and sit.
There are better restaurants with better food and better service than this over hyped parcel centre (not a restaurant in any manner)
No wonder why there are so many negative reviews here. Glad I could contribute to the same as my experience was not...
Read moreA functional eatery with excellent tasty food. The owner will really take care of you. Their USP is to serve good tasty food at affordable price and manageable proportions for a single person. This ensures that all their specials during lunch are priced mostly around rupees 50. Even the chemeen fry and the chemmeen theeyal. The pothu was 60 rupees the first time I went. So for a person like me who likes eating alone I can go for two or three special dishes for the price of one which beef or chicken dish at a regular restaurant. And you will need another or two persons to finish off. And of course I need not mention the meals on plantain leaf with unlimited fish curry kappa and the veggies. From the taste perspective all their dishes are good and tastes homely. Which can only be done at the hands of a lady. And it is so. Evenings they have good porotta and pothu curry roast and tiny nibbles of chicken fry. All tasted good when I had last. I get to hear that they have started six pack chicken with special maslaa . I will have to try that . There have been a few detractor s of this place with other hotel owners leading the pack questioning how he is able to provide fish prawns crab squid scampi at fifty rupees a plate. All those controversies have died a natural death since I don't believe any person could find fault in the quality of the food meat or the seafood served. I certainly have not. I personally feel this is one of the first hotels to bring back the concept of simple homely food inside the city. This was always available if you traveled to the outskirts. But now things are looking up . Thanks to the eateries like...
Read moreHi all, We went there after hearing some good reviews from food bloggers in some online platform, but got immediate regret about it. We went there on 25th February 'Aattukal Pongala' day to eat a good "Sadhya" (meals). The food was good, but the service was very unsatisfactory. There were four of us, and we had to wait for some time to get a seat. When we entered, the staff immediately asked whether we wanted biriyani or sadhya. They mentioned that if we chose biriyani, we had to sit in a different area, and if we preferred sadhya, we could sit elsewhere. It seemed inconvenient for a family that wanted to enjoy different dishes together. The cost of the Sadhya is quite high, with a price of 240 rupees for one sadhya. It doesn't seem to be worth the expense.
Adding to the inconvenience, we were required to pay the bill upfront. Eventually, we were seated at the far end of the hut like structure. It was uncomfortable due to the harsh sunlight and there were no shades, and to make matters worse, despite our requests, the staff did not turn on the fan.
I believe some of the staff here are thinking that we are only here to enjoy the sadhya for free, as their attitude was quite poor. I am not referring to all of them, but there were instances where the service was not up to par.
We experienced delays in receiving all the dishes. Initially, they served half of the side dishes, and then there was a wait for the remaining items. Additionally, there was a person, presumably the owner, wearing three-fourths and a t-shirt who was yelling loudly. His behavior appeared extremely rude, even...
