Kottavathil Hotel & Bar — Restaurant in Kerala

Their resto bar services are really bad.. We had asked them to lower the TV volume as it was very disturbing and they suddenly started being rude saying the volume cannot be reduced as it's already set in such a way and then when my friend called them out for their attitude they finally took the remote and reduced it so we asked how was this possible now, responding to this one waiter/commi was like, "why should we reduce the volume, we also want to see it" but he was clearly on his phone after serving us and we were the only customers there. This entire experience was very discriminatory... It seemed like we weren't their "potential customers" who could "fit into" their fine dining set up as we just ordered two beers and a starter..

Well, if food and beverage places in Kochi or anywhere are trying hard to keep up their restaurant/bar "standards" then as a first step they should at least try to be kind than judging another person by merely watching their appearance/ability to order to analyse the customer's so called "CLASS". Shame on you!! Shame on your so called "classy standards".. Felt like a pitty place to even sit and enjoy a beer. Nasty. Lose of money...

Nestled near the bustling Thripunithura bus stand, reaching the place quickly requires prior knowledge of the roads. Getting into the compound can else become a bit of tricky exercise.

The rooms are spacious, near and well maintained with sparkling clean washrooms, kettle, mini-fridge all to the boot. The cupboard also has a built in safe to store your valuables.

Parking for the hotel is a bit limited with max capacity of 4-5 cars, unless you're okay parking towards the side where the local bar entrance is situated - this space can easily...

Update: As a local guide, I think it's my responsibility to update this review with the current situation. Kottavathil is nothing but a haven for bar-goers with the reinstatement of a fully fledged bar.

They have increased the food price, but the taste is not the same anymore for worse. The warm and friendly front office staff have been replaced by much ruder, apathetic staff
