So after disappointing experience from the opposite restaurant on the following visited this old nostalgic restaurant that I had visited during childhood days.

Had 2 biriyanis, 1 chicken and beef. Bro did complain the pieces seemed to be limited but he and I had the same opinion about the rice. The biriyani rice pretty damn flavour smacking tasty ones. When you indulge with any sort of meat, it was pretty good. But 1 was pretty enough quantity to fill anys stomach.

The vibe of the restaurant and service was also pretty good. If u feel, you can't finish any dish half way through. Just ask them to pack it up. You may also demand the type of packing as generally its paper packing as they told when bro tried to pack the half. But they got us an aluminium foiled packing to avoid spillage for travelling. Anyhow, this place is good. Ended up spending 350 with 2, 10 rupees pedas as well. Overall pretty good. Yes, pricing comparing Amritas one, it is high. Can be reduced from their end, unless they can ensure that the food and service remains to be intact. They are on a safe spot, or else the fall...

1.Food price is costly than other nearest restaurants. Example : Normal meals charged 70 rupees in this restaurant others 60 rupees, Tea charged 10 rupees if GST included Tea rate is 10.50, bill they will add .50 paisa and round off 11 rupees for Tea. Other nearest restaurant Tea charged 10 rupees including GST. Service is not good: waiters don't know how to talk customers. 3.Quality:Meals is below average, especially Fish curry meals which they charge 100 rupees. Fish is not good,Rasam they are serving unable to drink too much oil,no taste at all,only Moru Curry is good. Biriyani: Biriyani is average, other malabar restaurant providing good biriyani in same rate. Beef Roast and Fry is good. Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast is good but price is higher...

Among several hotels in this area with MALABAR in their name, this one is definitely very good. Located in Ponekkara, very near to the main entrance of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Edappally Station, this is a must visit restaurant.

Food quality is excellent, yummy taste. Very neat and clean, the wash area could be maintained dry though.

Courteous and friendly staff, most are from Odisha.

Reasonable pricing. AC and non AC area available, not sure about parking as it is on a very narrow road with a lot of ambulances passing through the road, not a good idea to park here.
