Best Bakers — Restaurant in Kerala

This is a relatively new outlet of Best Bakers at Ponekkara in Edappally. It is located strategically on the main ponekkara road surrounded by residential homes, a nearby higher secondary school and a large church. This place is well maintained and clean. The decor is quite pleasing. It is rarely crowded. There is sufficient parking for up to 2 cars at a time right in front of the shop. The place is open from 10 am till late evening around 9 pm. They have a pack and parcel and also a small area to sit in for coffee, juice and snacks. The bakery is well staffed and well stuffed. The items on displays are always fresh. Bread, cookies, burgers, sandwiches, puffs, pastries, cake and a good variety of each of them are available always. There is a good sale of their products which are freshly baked, well packed, and hygienic. You could place orders for cakes for special occasions which can be picked up from the store or delivered to your location. They accept cash, credit and debit cards and mobile NFC. Worst bakery I’ve ever visited. I was visiting a friend nearby when my phone switched off, and I was really hungry. I went into this bakery and ordered a fresh lime with salt and sugar. I politely asked if I could charge my phone, but the staff were extremely rude and refused.

After a while, they served the drink — it was so sugary it tasted more like sugarcane juice than lime. I asked again if I could charge my phone, and they finally agreed, but the entire time the staff kept staring at me like I was some kind of alien.

I had a very disappointing experience at this place. The person who manages or runs this franchise offers really poor customer service. On multiple occasions, they’ve brought the wrong food items, and instead of correcting the mistake politely, they seem to judge and treat customers based on their appearance or how they’re dressed.

It’s frustrating and unprofessional, especially when you’re paying for a service that should be welcoming and consistent. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place unless there’s serious improvement in how customers...
