Visited Padma Cafe in the evening — it’s a small, pure vegetarian restaurant located right near Manorama Junction, in the heart of Cherthala town. I had a masala dosa and tea. The dosa was crispy and nicely spiced, and the tea was strong and refreshing — a perfect combo for the evening.

The taste was really good, although the quantity felt a bit small. Still, for the price, it’s totally worth it. Rates are reasonable and don’t feel overpriced at all.

The ambiance is quite basic, nothing fancy — just a simple, no-frills setup. Seating is limited, so it might get a bit crowded during peak time. There’s no dedicated parking for cars, which can be a bit inconvenient if you’re driving.

Actually I ordered dosa,Vada and coffee. The dosa was crisp and flavorful, with just the right amount of spices in the chutney and sambar, making it a delightful experience. The vada was golden, crunchy on the outside, and soft inside, paired perfectly with the dips. The coffee was aromatic and freshly brewed, adding a satisfying finish to the meal.Also the quantity of coffee is low and it is little overpriced for that volume.

However, hygiene standards were disappointing. I noticed the owner handling both food and currency with the same hand, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the plates, though functional, could have been washed more thoroughly to ensure cleanliness.

While the taste and freshness of the food were commendable, the lack of proper hygiene detracted from the overall experience. It’s a place I’d recommend for the flavors, but only if cleanliness isn’t a top...
