Went here for dinner with family. We were a group of 8. We first ordered starters like soups, chicken 65, baby corn etc. Whatever we ordered were above average and of good quantity. Nothing felt exceptional though. The pricing too felt reasonable. Even the waiters were really good at explaining and impressing us. But we faced a problem.Since most of ur work abroad we had no idea about good dinner spots. The google review shows this place as one of the top rated in trivandrum so we gave it a try. Our starters took exactly 35 mnts to arrive after order was given. While we were wondering why this much wait just for starters, another family sitting nearby started shouting for not serving them. I spoke to one of them and came to know its been 40mnts and they r still waiting. If they are taking thismuch time for service starters then main course is going to take atleast an hour so we decided not to order anything else. Had our starters and left. The waiter was humble enough to apologise and explain the situation to me holding my hands. Much appreciated behaviour from him and he is an asset for this establishment. They run a hotel with this restaurant and the kitchen got bombarded with orders it seems. Yes its understandable but that will not justify the wait time right. Will be trying this place for one more time and if the experience is any difference i will update it here. I didn't even felt like clicking pics of what we got due to the...
Read moreWe ordered Chatti Choru (non-veg), Chicken Perattu, Pineapple Lime, Mint Lime, and Fruit Salad with Ice Cream.
Chatti Choru (INR 250) – Worth a try! It came with a good variety: an omelette, half an ayala fry, about two tablespoons of beef perattu, netholi thoran, a piece of chicken fry (small to medium in size), an aviyal-style side dish, a tablespoon of prawns curry, sambar, and rice. The fish was just okay, but the variety makes it interesting for the price.
Pineapple Lime (INR 40) – Honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference from regular lime juice (INR 30), even though they claimed it had real pineapple in it. I'd suggest sticking with the regular one.
Chicken Perattu (INR 240) – Tastes good, but feels overpriced for just 4–5 small to medium chicken pieces. More quantity or depth in flavor would have justified the cost.
Fruit Salad with Ice Cream (INR 220) – Two scoops of ice cream served over a plate of cut fruits like watermelon, pineapple, pomegranate, etc. Decent, but again, on the expensive side.
Overall: The food was tasty and satisfying, but pricing could be more reasonable for the portions offered. Worth visiting if you're in the mood to explore some local flavors, but be prepared for slightly...
