Cofi Club — Restaurant in Kerala

After a quick online search this cafe seemed the perfect answer to sit, unwind and do a bit of work catch up (talk with my manager in London) for a couple of hours. I arrive at the place and voila, there is no WiFi! (Website and window signs promised there was, but on the contrary 😭). Ok so I switch to mobile hotspot and continue my work and MS Teams 1-2-1 meeting. Battery power is running out. Is there a plug point? Yes, there is one or two, only on the other side of the room 😱. But I can't ask people to move as there is social distancing in practice 👍. The ambience is querky. The service is slow and shoddy (20 mins for a passion fruit tea 🥤- which I loved). Music playing in the background via speakers seemed like London's Capital FM station 🎸).

In short, the website promises much but falls well short of good standards for a cafe. I was looking forward to the visit and find a regular cafe in TVM where I could relax and unwind, but felt rather disappointed with this place. Doubt I'll visit again. Maybe after a year or two, to see if there have been any improvements. Any suggestions meanwhile (for my three week trip) before I return...

I happened to try this place day before yesterday and somehow survived to write a review about it. Went there for lunch and ordered a "DOUBLE WORKS" burger (this item had both beef and chicken patty) and a pineapple/watermelon juice. One would expect the burger to be hot if freshly cooked or at least warm when served but this was more on a normal or slight colder side. By the evening my stomach was already bloated and by midnight started the battle of water"loo". I had a severe food poisoning and was completely down for a day and a half without a break from the bathroom and later had to see a doctor. From what was served it seems like the meat would have been stored outside improperly. Customer deserves to be served food with quality and good food hygiene and not some trash from your kitchen. Their signature items are Club sandwich- large 4 triangular 4-layer bread sandwich- awesome Pasta- Their chicken and herb flavour in the pasta goes a long way- scrumptious Barbeque Burger- the chicken breast slice in the burger marinated with BBQ sauce- zesty

The juices, French fries and nuggets are worth munching. I wouldn't recommend their steaks. It tasted like chicken curry and veggies

Price is extremely economical. Books for reading. Ergonomic sofas and tables. Fitting illumination.
