Urban Forest, spotted this on our way back from hometown and soon added the same to my checklist. We were there one week later for dinner. Located by the highway makes the access very easy.
Nice ambience, the plants (can compare to Fresstrees, but not that lush), and small fountain offers a different feel. They have workstations as well for the techies who prefer to work from their grabbing some bites. They have one swing as well to attract kids.
Started with their signature starter 'Sweet chilli wings', 'Chicken loaded fries' and 'Creamy mushroom soup'.
Sweet chilli wings was good, crispy, hot and sweet, can recommend to others for sure. Chicken loaded fries was equally good. Liked the mushroom soup as well, but they dont serve '1/2' or '2/4'.
For the main course, we ordered 'Grilled chicken steak' and 'Chicken Ala Kiev'. Steak was fine, but didn't feel anything wow. They used to serve mashed potatoes but that day it was steamed veggies and rice and bread. Chicken Ala Kiev was their suggestion and it's something different and I haven't seen that before, though at the first glance I felt it's small, it's really heavy with its cheese, minced meat and other fillings.
Nice place to spend some time with your loved ones. You will definitely find some captures for your insta handle.
Parking space is a challenge as the maximum car space is 4-5. Accepts all...
Read moreI recently visited this cafe for a simple cake-cutting and to try out some of their special dishes. However, we were quite surprised when the staff informed us that we had to pay ₹400 per head just because we cut a small cake — and we were a group of 8 people which felt way too high for what was supposed to be a casual get-together.
We understand if there are extra charges when customers decorate the space or use party poppers, balloons, etc. But in our case, it was a very simple occasion — no decorations, just a small cake. Nowadays, many people visit cafes like this for such small celebrations and to enjoy the food.
It’s becoming a bit unreasonable to expect every customer to spend a minimum of ₹400 per head. Shouldn't it be up to the customer to decide what they want to eat or drink based on their preference and budget?
Even when we were placing our order, we asked a staff member how much we had ordered so far. He said it was around ₹1400, and subtly hinted that we should order more just because we had cut a cake. That made us feel quite uncomfortable. Its not about the money the way he mentioned “aaage 1400/- order aaitolu” it was really mean. I was a regular customer and I wanted my friends to visit this cafe, but recently got a really bad experience though it was a birthday we had a bad gift from...
