I recently had the pleasure of visiting this delightful cafe, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease.

The interior design was tastefully done, combining modern elements with cozy touches, creating a perfect ambiance for a relaxing meal or catching up with friends. The seating options were comfortable, and I appreciated the ample natural light that flooded the space, creating a pleasant and uplifting environment.

Now, let's talk about the food! The menu offered a good range of options, catering to various dietary preferences. Whether you're a meat lover, a vegetarian, or have specific dietary restrictions, there was something for everyone. I opted for a mouthwatering tacos and I was blown away by the flavors and presentation. Each bite was a heart winning .It was truly a culinary masterpiece!

The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions I had. The wait time for my order was minimal, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation of each dish.

Lastly, I cannot overlook the beverages. The cafe offered an impressive selection of beverages, from expertly brewed coffees.

My wife and I were in Kolkata for 3 days visiting friends and we stopped by 8th Day every day we were there - everything was so good! We tried almost everything on the menu (haha), and were very impressed by the quality of the coffee as well as the food. I'd say it's on par with Starbucks back in the US, very good. My wife especially enjoyed having a safe way to eat an American salad (no food sickness!), and also appreciated the transparency of the menu - no hidden charges (although do note that there are high taxes in Kolkata that add about 20% to the bill; these are outside the cafe's control).

Service was great too - attentive, friendly, and responsive. 8th Day differs from Starbucks in that there's no rushed feeling inside (staff or customers) - we saw multiple customers playing board games like Scrabble while we were there. They have a whole bookshelf of games and books you can help yourself to. All the food and drinks were made to order and very fresh, so it took a few minutes to complete each order. However, we didn't mind, it was well worth the wait! I noticed they had day-old bagels on sale 50% off, which explains why the bagels I had were so fresh - they were made that morning!

Even down to the music playing in the background, it was fun to have a familiar patch of America in the bustle of India. :) Thanks 8th Day staff...

This place is special to us since it’s where my fiancé and I had our 1st date🥰…but it really is a lovely cafe! I definitely enjoy the simple iced lattes, cappuccino, simple hot latte (lots of flavors to choose from-my favorite is Carmel or vanilla). They now offer a flat white. Basically if you are a coffee person , this is a nice stop for a pick me up. There’s even a discount for when you bring your own to-go cup or thermos for takeaway🤩🙌🏻Coffee cards are also provided so you can earn a free drink after 7 purchases. As for non-coffee peeps like my fiancé, they do great hot tea, frappe, and chocolate. However, the Mango shake is SOO GOOD! You must try in the summer time for a sweet treat. 🥭🧡💛If you love mangos or have a sweet 🦷, you also need to have their mango cheesecake. It’s just TOO delicious!! Food- We love their garlic Parmesan wings, fish tacos, Ranch BBQ chicken wrap, and most breakfast items. The chicken quiche reminds me of my mom’s cooking. When it comes to the service, I really feel the staff does a great job attending to their customers and theres always a smiling face to greet you. Just have some patience for the new staff that are learning the trade here. Remember your 1st job, right?😉
