Surprising that some ppl could come up with negative reviews for this place. Any which way... a very passionate review.... I have been consuming from this place since childhood. I stay 20 kms away from this shop and on the way many famous sweet shops fall. But whenever a beloved guest is at our place park sweets is where i will come. If you also want to fall in love with this place do visit here in winters when the nolen gur sweets arrive. I call their rasgollas, mildly sweet drops of heaven in your mouth. (Not an exaggeration) To try out.. definitely rasgolla, gulabjamun, abar khabo... And to settle the debate... I am a hardcore foodie and very pedantic about sweets. So be it bala,gangu,bancha, haldi or any ram, bheem etc, Park sweets is the best. (Reason: less sweet, unbelievably soft and fresh) Criticism: bad shelf life, and after refrigeration the sweets won't taste as good, the next morning...so if you are carrying by flight probably don't indulge much... Also between two owners, one of them can be really impolite... Regarding hygiene, i do see them wearing gloves, but yes sometimes they don't. (We were horrified but liked the colored yoghurt from this new place - confession!) That was a very, very long time ago. Another event a very long time ago was the occasional glimpse of the manual truck that would trundle down most afternoons punctually to deliver the evening supplies.
Park Sweets has always been the go-to place for better quality products when we receive guests at home. The Saturday breakfast often included the Hing laced kochuri that easily beat dalpuri and Halwa Puri competitors from other stores.
