Aamar Kolkata — Restaurant in Kolkata

Today I went to this cafe and my experience was not good. Earlier I ordered from here twice and I realy liked their food very much. But today they changed my mind. Ordered ch. Lollipop, lacha paratha and mutton kasa. They badly hit my expectation. Didn't like the lollipop, not bad but not able excite my taste buds. Paratha was good, but but but, mt. Kasa gravy was good but out of 3 mutton pieces 2 pieces was full of fat and bones, no mutton and the 3rd piece was a very thin slice of mutton. So I told them, they answered me "dada mutton dish e to erom to hebei mutton piece" (in mutton dishes this is how it would be). So I had to order 2nd plat, again surprise, now they made ordinary mutton curry in hurry. Wastages of money. Don't want to mention about the waiting time , rediculously long. And the main thing the floor management is very horrible. Ask them to lower down the music because we wasn't even hear each other properly, answer was sir so many customers are here (only 6 small tables were there)that's why we increased the volume. There was a room freshner right next to my table no. 5 , smoke coming out of it (artificial smoke), causing breathing problems, I was literally irritated and scared tell them switch that off move somewhere else due to their strange behaviour. Only thing I like that is there mouth freshner.

Finally I want to mention that, I know today is 14th February and they have more pressure than ordinary day and that's the reason they food tast gone down, it happens with many food joints. I don't have any complaint or I dont want to hamper their reputation. But the thing is they are not at all professional. They need to improve it immediately. I really like all the staffs, they are friendly and always smiling.

I have made home delivery through Swiggy a number of times and their food seemed quite okay. Today, we visited their restaurant and the experience was not good at all. Staffs are very courteous but the preparation time is so long that it becomes good for nothing. We ordered fish and chips, prawn cutlets as starters. It took around 40mins to prepare and serve on the table. In the main course we ordered Luchi-mangsho (mutton), Kebab-paratha and Lebu lonka murgi. But after another 40 mins when we discovered that only kebab-paratha was ready and luchi mangsho is getting ready and not fully done, I lost my cool and told them to pack those two items and cancel that Lebu lonka murgi. By the time, the place has become quite crowded and it's a matter of concern nowadays owing to Covid. Anyways, after another 10 mins we got the parcel and came home. At home we discovered that the mutton was half done and is just hard, quite hard rather. And this is after so much of waiting at the restaurant. So, needless to mention, our dining experience was not at all satisfactory. Still, based on previous experience on food quality through delivery, I have given 3 stars to my review. Otherwise, it should have been a single star based on today's experience. Hope they will serve...

First of all after entering to this place you'll get mesmerized by their interior. the wall paintings will make you feel the contiguity of the city of Kolkata like 'durga puja' (the biggest festival of kolkata), yellow taxi (the archaic heritage of kolkata), Arm pulled rickshaw(Nostalgic transport on the streets of Kolkata) etc etc.
