Aanja — Restaurant in Kolkata

Bogus restaurant. Price are not very high but quality is pathetic. They even don't know how to prepare momo properly. Almost all the foods are unnecessarily oily.

Delivery time is worst. This restaurant now have tie up with online food delivery companies and give importance to those companies only while giving delivery. Let's explain ..

once I ordered mixed chow and chicken momo. After waiting for more than an hour I asked them about the status of my delivery. But they are reluctant to give answer. Then I keep close eye on what they are doing in the kitchen and noticed that they already prepared my order but still they do not want to deliver. This surprised me a lot. But when two online food delivery company boy appears things are clear to me. They consulted and suddenly ready to deliver the packets that was prepared but laying in the kitchen for almost 15 minutes.

Behavior of the Malkin is ok . But the two young man's behavior is worst. Once I told them their momo is unnecessarily oily but they started arguing. I told them I am a pure food lover and tested the dumplings of mainland China as well. But still they are not ready to acknowledge their fault.

Don't spend a penny over here. Much much better restaurant is chowman or...

In short 3rd class take away place. They even do not know how to make dumplings. I am surprised how few customers are very happy with this restaurant. In my view below are few main problems with them.

DO NOT SPEND A SINGLE RUPEE HERE.

Food quality of few basic items like momo or chowmin etc are much much lower than other street side take away corners. So it is quite understandable what would be the quality of uncommon items.

If you complain about their food they do not try to admit or understand the problem . Instead they will start argumenting. And same problem with quality goes on. Please note I am a pure chinese food lover and got opportunity to taste various chinese foods in many top notch chinese restaurants.

Third problem is the wait time. They always give priority to the swiggy or zomato. Sometime you will find that your food is ready but they do not hand it over because they are waiting to check incoming zomato or swiggy orders. If similar order come with zomato or swiggy then they will hand over your food to them. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for more than 1 hour for a...

Weekdays have become even more hectic, with work from home and chores at home. I was really exhausted after work and feeling too lethargic to cook something for lunch. So I thought why not order something online. I went on Zomato and searched for trending cloud kitchens. I came across this very new takeaway kitchen called "Aanja" and their wide list of menu. They are located at Baghajatin, exact address goes as — 1, Gangulybagan, Kolkata, West Bengal 700084. I kind of liked their menu options & I ordered —

🔶 Crispy Chilli Babycorn — Fresh babycorn dices, crisp fried & tossed in chilli sauces with perfectly balanced taste of spicy & tangy.

🔶 Veg Hakka Noodles — Plain, simple noodles loaded with veggies, it was good in taste.

🔶 Egg Biryani — I ordered seeing their reviews of Biryani & I was not at all disappointed. The Biryani was really great in taste & quite light.
