The Baghajatin outlet of Saptapadi is a cosy little restaurant, segmented into two seating areas, which can accomodate around 25 to 30 people at one stretch!
What strikes you as soon as you enter is an attempt to pay homage to the immortalised film SAPTAPADI...from the pictures hanging on the wall to the decor. With soothing music being played on the background, this place feels like a dip into the bygone era.

1️⃣ Welcome drink :
Litchi Lonka Sorbot - The welcome drink was quite unique with its subtle heat that hits you amidst the mild sweetness. Quite a stunner.
2️⃣ Starters :
Posto Chingri Bora, Moori Fish Fry, Chicken Cheese Fry, Patol Vaja, Aloo Vaja.
Among these, Chicken Cheese Fry and Moori Fish Fry deserve special mention. The crackling chicken item falls under unlimited starter option and was surely one of the highlights of the evening. The Moori Fish Fry was crispy on the outside as it should be and the puffed rice helped in that department.
3️⃣ Main Course & Side Dishes
Pulao, Loochi, Dal, Chingri(1pc), Chicken(2pc).
Here, both the Chingri and Chicken dish deserve mention. The chingri dish came in a small bowl with mildly sweet gravy while the chicken dish was unapologetically savoury...just the perfect side dish for the pulao.
There are alternative options for Chingri and Chicken with Bhetki Paturi and Mutton dish respectively.

My mother, with osteoarthritis, had to get down at quite a distance from the eatery, and wait quite a while, while my car came from a free street parking more than 500 meters away. Secondly, the food. We had ordered plain rice, jhuri alu bhaja, katla sagorika kalia, katla sagorika jhol, doi chicken and sweet lime soda. The rice, alu bhaja, and fish items were decent enough. But the chicken dish was simply disgusting. A sour curd gravy with zero onion garlic made me almost throw up the boiled chicken pieces, which were extremely chewy. And the fresh lime soda was actually room temperature. And when I asked about it, the server was quite nonchalant when he said that yes it is room temperature - as if having a chilled drink was my own concern, and he shouldn't, or rather, couldn't be bothered about it. And lastly, the behavior of the staff. One word to describe it - creepy. Two staff members constantly hovered over us while we were trying to eat our food, with only the intention to promote the many branches they have. They could not bother to leave us alone even for a few minutes.
Still, I left a tip because of the hard work of the server. But Saptapadi management needs to make a whole lot of improvements, if they want to survive, or else becoming just some local eatery is soon to be on the cards - a footnote in south...

I was supposed to wash my hand before eating my food but I can’t because they were repairing that ,after eating my food also I was waited so long to wash my hand ,when I wake up from the sit and asking for water to wash my hand they are telling me go and sit we are giving finger bowl .. I was just shocked after having rice with my hand how come I will wash my hand with finger bowl .. They should close the restaurant if the wash basin is not working .. and why they are not repairing the wash basin before operation hours or after operation hours ...
When you are charging good amount of money from the customer your service standard should be consistence and proper ..
