Blossom — Restaurant in Kolkata

It’s been almost 5 years since my wife and I last had food here.. We were shocked to see the degradation. The interiors of the restaurant has aged without maintenance and the showpieces, decorative pieces etc are just gone...! The number of waiters have degraded as well.. previously each waiter was assigned for a particular table.. now everyone is attending every table.. we were super hungry and ordered chicken pakora, kashmiri pulao with mutton rogan josh & chicken butter masala as suggested by the waiter.. well the pictures speak for themselves.. yet to elaborate.. chicken pakoras were huge .. unnecessarily huge with solid chicken inside and hefty batter of besan coating.. chicken was chewy.. it took them about 45 minutes to prepare these.. we ordered all the items together but still it took them almost another 45 minutes to bring the main course.. the chicken butter masala was pathetic... solid chewy boneless chicken pieces that are tossed in gravy.. the inside have never experienced the masala or marination.. the mutton rogan josh somehow tasted okay but yes of course super oily. Pulao didn’t taste good to me at all.. we hardly had anything... The prices have been raised up to match the market rate but quality is simply below standard... A disgusting experience overall and an utter waste of time.. Shall never be back...

Gave my surprise Promotion treat by being my self-surprise on the surprise that I got on that day! I have tried to enter this restaurant last year 2015 on Christmas however it was impossible to get into the with such a long que. So today was the 2nd attempt and it was successful. 1st lets come to the Ambience - It was very good. Liked it with the sitting arrangements as well. We went there already with a half filled tummy Courtesy Mio Amore! So we ordered lesser food. Coming to food quality the Mixed chowmein was good with lesser chicken!! The sweet and sour Chicken was Average you can say. One of our veggie friend liked the Paneer item we ordered. Paneer Malaikopta to be precise. The veg fried rice was good. However, The worst part is - The waiter demanded for a tips when I was about to pay the bill via card. It's a really pathetic experience and something's I've experienced 1-2 times only. I gave him the tips but it is not appreciated!!!!!!

Looking at the same other reviews it's looks like the tandoori items are really good over here. Anyways as the day has been special for me, so no hard feelings. Would visit here one day again and will order more variety of...

food 0 service 0 atmosphere 0 (Negative remarks are needed to give a honest review) Today I go there with my friends , at firstly we can't decide any menu because of bad smell(smell of dead rats) are there in our sitting area(we complain about the situation and they just ignore it and take like a silly jokes) .Even if one of our friend request to on the AC but they ignore it too(behaviour of working staff are disrespectful, arrogant). we finally order a starter for check the food quality which is completely dissatisfied and some of our friends are vomiting after eating those dishes ,and we finally we don't order further more and left the restaurant . One thing last I would say that price of every dishes are so high which is not value for money as well as I think.Due to this type of problems this restaurant is also always being Empty.Such a horrible experience...
