There is no discrimination in terms of caste, creed and religion in the community of Brahmo Samaj. It is basically a part of Brahmoism, generated during Bengal Renaissance as a reformist movement of Hinduism. Raja Rammahon Roy & Prince Dwarkanath Tagore founded this monotheistic organization on August, 1828. After long tradition and clashes between two groups headed by Debendranath Tagore & Keshab Chandra Sen, Sadharan Brahmo Samaj was established on May, 1878 at Bidhan Sarani under the leadership of Sivnath Sastri, Ananda Mohan Bose. The current members are carrying out the precious legacy.
