Capri Restaurant — Restaurant in Kolkata

Surely one of the best Chinese restaurants in North Kolkata this cosy little joint offers a varied range of Chinese dishes. The quality of food supplied by Capri is superb and I have been enjoying their dishes for the last three decades without having a single complaint on food quality. Capri has pork on its menu which most Chinese restaurants in the North do not have. Signature dishes include Mixed Gravy Chowmein ...Hakka Noodle... Garlic Prawn... Fried Prawn Balls... Chilly Chicken with Bone... American Chopsuey etc. Over the last few years Capri has added some Indian items to the menu but I have never tasted them. Their fried fish is also supposed to be very good. Prices of Capri are a bit on the higher side compared with other places in North Kolkata but I guess that is the price one has to pay for the excellent quality food. Was the worst experience of a restaurant where they charge high for any dish with respect to the market rate but the quality of food is equivalent to an road side Chinese fast food shop. I would request all those who like to eat good food please don't enter this particular restaurant. For starter I ordered chicken clear soup, they had provided clear soup with "CHICKEN GRAINS".I have gone to many good restaurants but never ever I had the privilege to have chicken GRAINS in a soup.It costed 180 bucks. For main course I order mixed fried rice and hot garlic chicken, the Hot garlic chicken was nothing but chicken balls dip in chili sauce, I think the restaurant could do little better if they charge going to charge 340 bucks for the hot garlic chicken. In my personal opinion you can get better hot garlic chicken from road side fast food center for 100 bucks. So to summarize guys please go to any restaurant...

We have been visiting and ordering from Capri since several years. Mostly chicken fried rice and no doubt the taste has always been really good. Today we went for a take away and thought of taking a few starters including fish fry(as someone had suggested). The fried fish costs ₹330/- for 2 pieces. But one of them was extremely bad. It was like rubber and tasted like stale fish. We really had to spit it out. I mean are they not supposed to maintain their quality? It was so disheartening. I don't mind paying a little higher provided the quality is maintained. When we called them for giving them a feedback they were like "yeah, we'll see". What will they do?...
