DESI LANE ALIPORE — Restaurant in Kolkata

I heard too much about this place. And yesterday my Friends told me to meet there. I even agreed to meet there. Overall the place is cozy and good crowd. First of all, something was off of the drinks. I usually drink BP. So I opted for the same, but here the taste was something was off. The spirit was less, as like the Alchol evaporated. I think it’s due to the cheap price. Anyhow, the main disappointment was with Pizza. As all would know I know my food well, and I usually order pizza at restaurants, bar, cafés. So I did the same, unfortunately it had a strong fennel flavour, which was dominanting the cheese flavour. The manger said, it’s not possible that’s what their standard and called the chef, they said it’s basil. Darling trust me I know what taste of basil. Even, my friends also said the same. It wasn’t only me, who complained but 3 of us can’t be there wrong. And overall the manger, she was super rude, rude to the core. If this is a behaviour of a fellow hospitality person, I feel bad about myself to call myself hotelier. Even other stuff has got attitude problems, the whole system didn’t have communication. There was a big gap of it. I didn’t understand how does there ordering software works. We ordered for beer to one person, that order came twice. Then I personally ordered for steamed Wanton. What someone said, it’s not available, so we changed that to margarita pizza. After 15 to 20 minutes somebody brought us Fried Wonton. Ha ha. Holy cow. I clearly understood, there’s a communication problem. Hardly anyone talks to anyone. Then manger came, they took the wonton back. Kept at the corner side station, then the manger and other guys started eating at the counter. Which was clearly visible. Ha ha. The drinking experience was terrible. Staff were unattentive, everybody seem to be running. But if people need to order we have to look for 5 mints, then somebody would approach. While the service stuff were standing just next to mine side station. They were very busy with their phone, as I think this is how their digitalisation work. As the order was punch through mobile. It would be best, if they opt for tabs, which are easier to use and no personal browsing neither WhatsApp. By the way, after this better experience, I had to go to my regular place at Tramdeepo. Started my meal with Hookah as cola base ,and it was kinda strong . Do try.

MIXED FRUIT MOJITO : Fruity affair and quite unique as the name ,this is something new and you will actually love it .

2.COLA MOJITO : This mocktail is a must try , quite refreshing and again a unique one. Do try.

3.CHICKEN LUNG FUNG SOUP : On a chilly november evening ,this soup is all that you need. The aroma of the soup is so good, you would order one more.

BHARWAN TANGARI : Chicken drumsticks , but made in such a way , you would definitely love to know. So the drumsticks are stuffed with chicken inside and the stuffing is so good, it will actually melt in your mouth. Quite a sixer as your starter.Close your eyes and order.

5.PAN FRIED CHILLI FISH : Basa fish , tossed and fried , fresh chilli ,made this dish amazing. Do try .

6.SLICED CHICKEN IN GREEN CHILLI SAUCE : Another amazing delicacy from this place . It tasted good .

7.QUESSADILLA : Basically tortillas , it was so good ,you will keep munching on and on.

14.CHICKEN CANTONESE NOODLES : Gravy noodles made perfectly in cantonese style , it just tasted amazing . If you are trying any chinese dish from this place, do not miss out on this .
