Drumstick — Restaurant in Kolkata

On Bengali's New Year day we ordered their special thali which consisted of mutton prawn topse fry, dal, aloo bhaja one veg item, maacher paturi, chatni, rosogolla, pan, and a welcome drink aam pora sarbat. Firstly by name the menu was huge but disgusted the way it tasted. Mutton: A single small piece it is so small that hardly it was 3 cm long. The gravy tasted like a gutter water. Prawn: The size of the prawn was big but it tasted blunt. The gravy was taste-less. The cook of this restaurant should be kicked out immediately. Fish paturi: This was the worst fish paturi i ever tasted, The fish was soft but the masala was a disaster. Dal: Nicely cooked, the aroma was good and tasted the best along with the topse fry and jhuri jhuri aloo bhaja. Chutney: it was only sugar mixed in water with a one piece of mango dipped into it.

We ordered two thalis as my in-laws house is nearby, The delivery was good but the quality of the food was pathetic. I will never recommend anyone . The quantity was also very poor, if you are giving mutton curry give some gravy .. But no gravy only about 2-3 spoon of gravy and giving dal in huge quantity what's the use of it. This restaurant is well decorated having very comfortable seats along with a spacious celebration hall. It feels like a family restaurant. I visited this place specially for having Ilish Mahathali (₹845+gst). Besides that I've ordered Pabda Sorshe (₹165), Dehradun Rice (₹100), Mutton Curry (₹345) & Mutton Seekh Kabab (₹345).

Ilish Mahathali was literally superb. It has 5 different types of Ilish items which are Ilish Bhaja, Mawa Ghater Ilish Bharta, Lao Patar Ilish Paturi, Dhakai Sorshe Ilish, Ilisher Tok. Among all I really loved item named Sorshe Ilish. Each and every piece of Ilish was fresh & tasteful. And the Gandharaj Ghol was so refreshing.

Also the Pabda Sorshe was literally awesome & its gravy was thick & looking so beautiful. I really liked it. Next coming to Mutton Curry ahhh 🤤 How much I'll say that much will be less for this. Literally so so mouthwatering & you'll get an Aloo as well.

Mutton Seekh Kabab was truly blissful & you must order it if you're here. It was so delicious & bit of spicy. Also the green chutney was so lovely. Overall this is a must...
