Posto Rajbari by Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor — Restaurant in Kolkata

Visited POSTO RAJBARI today with my family. Although their atmosphere and the food quality is top notch, but their service is pathetic to say the least. One of their staff members (a waiter) was extremely rude to us. My father was inquisitive about why were they charging 90 ruppess for 100gms of MISTI DOI, where it is available for 30 ruppess anywhere outside. Anyone can have this genuine doubt because most of their food items on their pujo special menu was steeply prized. The waiter very RUDELY replied that it's a fine dine restaurant, not a roadside stall, so that justifies the cut throat prizing.

Next, while placing our main course order, we were doubtfull about the number of parathas we needed as we didn't know the size of the parathas, so we said that we would order 3 parathas at first, then if need be, we would like to order a few more. That WAITER, VERY RUDELY REPLIED, that we would have to place the entire order at once, if we place order for a few more parathas later on they would not be able to give that to us on time, so we Were FORCES TO PLACE THE ENTIRE ORDER AT ONCE,leaving us with no other option.

That particular WAITER WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFULLHE BLATANTLY DISRESPECTED MY ELDERLY PARENTS. I have no idea how such pathetic people get selected to serve in a hospitality business.

One of the worst experience with the authentic bengali cuisine, couple of items were good however the price point and the respected service they provided was not at all satisfied. Had to wait for food while the repeat order been informed way before, the rice was some how smelly not sure why, when asked they took it away and in some time a new bowl came which seems ok not sure why they gave stale food as the bowl was comparatively okay for ₹100 price tag. Then the others stuffs, the restaurant name(Posto) doesn't justify the food item called 'Postor Bora' which was too salty and very small in size so does the Chital Peti which costs ₹510 however the piece or the curry not at all good. Only thing we liked was jhuri aloo bhaja, shukto and rests are just ok ok. The atmosphere was good however we are there to eat food, if the main thing is not good while you are charging that much then your atmosphere is...

The worst experience someone can have here, we took Bengali buffet but the food quality was worst like mutton was cold, fish was very bad, polao was good enough but very sweet which can break your hunger. The ambience was good enough, but also have a complain regarding the services. During having starters we found chicken piece in a veg item and a long hair in fish which was the worst situation I ever had in dine-in. We had a bill of Rs 2800/- but the food we had was extremely bad as all got cold dishes. My preference not to visit there for Bengali buffet didn't try other items but overall pov is not preferable. Also in deserts we had porridge which was not properly cooked and chutni which taste different can't explain the taste but not sweet rather than it was spicy and also had a stale smell coming from it.
