Read moreToday around 12.30 pm I headed out from my office and ordered 20 samosas for my office colleagues. Sharma Snacks is in walking distance and hence it is convenient for me. But what I experienced today shocked me to the core. The man at the back shouted at me and asked me to go away simply because I asked for green chutney with my samosas. He was extremely rude when I requested the guy serving me for some chutney to go along with my food. Now, people living in Kolkata are familiar that almost all shops offer chutneys. But I am not sure what was wrong with this guy, maybe he was scolded by his wife at home and was in a bad mood. The moment I asked for some chutney, he said, "Jao yeha se, app mera business kharab kar rahe ho". He told my server not to give me my samosas. He then added, "hara chutney sabke liyte nehi hai, app muh uthake chale ate ho yeha pe". MUH UTHA KE????? Isn't shops for selling the goods that you produce. To my surprise, none of the other customers protested, when he was behaving this way. I left. I was never humiliated so much like this.
