FEAST — Restaurant in Kolkata

Mostly a take away joint with limited seating capacity. I think of myself as a foodie and have eaten across many places all over India and Kolkata. However, hardly come across places which serve food of this quality, quantity and price. Price is very reasonable - used to be dirt cheap before gst roll-out. Their rolls (egg, paneer, chicken, etc) are famous in the locality (and in my view, it is better than any so called famous roll joints in the city). Their momos are also better than many dedicated momo shops. Same goes with biryani - it can easily compete with big names in the city & gets sold out in evening only on most of the days. Their hidden gem is their Chinese - in very few places I have eaten a better mixed Schezwan fried rice and dry chilli chicken, portions are also more than adequate. People are fond of their tadka as well. I think the owner and old employees manage the daily running of the shop very well and ensure food quality remains impeccable. However, in typical sarkari style, they shut their shop strictly at 10:30 PM and also don't take orders from swiggy Zomato. They clearly say that it will compromise on food quality.

PS: Don't go to this shop during Durga Puja week. Food quality will be starkly different. In fact, they warn their routine customers to not visit during that time.

Note: Oftentimes, manager/cashier (Chandan) is rude - which is the reason(and not food) for most of the negative reviews in Google. Most likely he gets stressed handling the high demand from customers - managing cash counter, conveying food orders to roll counter & main course counter while ensuring timely delivery of...

👉Location- Just opposite to Bosepukur Indian oil Petrol Pump. Nearest Landmark is Bosepukur Sitala Mandir.

👉No sitting areas available for dining, however their are chairs and u bed to eat by resting the plate on you hand. Better to takeaway.

👉What to order?? 🔸Highest & popular item here is the Egg Chicke. Sheek Kabab Roll- this item is very heavy and tasty as well, price higher than market price of chicken roll. To be kept in mind that they use 'Dalda' in preparing the roll .

🔸 Mixed Friend Rice- quantity of sufficient than 2 people. And the taste is good but the price is very highcinsidering it's a takeway outlet.

🔸Chilli chiken- Price high but they provide more than 8 pieces however the the size of the pieces are very small. Do inform to make it less spicy else u won't be able to eat if u r not familiar to spicy food.

🔸Chicken Biryani- was very popular here contained decent amount of rice, 1 egg and 1 good chicken piece. But now the sale has decreased due to increase in prices Offlate.

Just is few word, rolls was awesome. Price, quality and richness is up to the mark. The other dishes are also very nice. Like fish chilly and other chicken side and main dishes. This stop serves various kind of dishes ranging from Chinese to our desi indian varieties. Old school token system is classy and well maintained . It really helps to manage the chaos and organise deliveries. Few sitting arrangement are available but do opt for take away if the food are for more than 4 persons. The only this which reduced one star is the timing. This place is popular so if you are very short temper about timing then you have to keep patience or else send someone else to get the food. Due to rush this place have moderate to high waiting time. So don't expect to get quick deliveries. However food is fresh and great so this is a must try destination especially for chicken egg...
