Yesterday, I visited Guru Kripa Restaurant with my family, and it turned out to be a delightful dining experience! The place is known for its consistent quality, prompt service, and variety of North Indian and vegetarian dishes.
Ambiance
The restaurant had a clean, comfortable, and family-friendly atmosphere. The seating was well-organized, and the staff was welcoming and polite right from the start.
Food Experience
We ordered quite a variety of dishes, and everything exceeded our expectations in terms of taste and presentation:
Malai Kofta - The gravy was creamy and perfectly balanced with a subtle sweetness, and the kofta balls were soft, rich, and melted in the mouth.
Paneer Butter Masala - This dish was a highlight. The paneer was fresh and soft, and the buttery, mildly spiced tomato-based gravy was absolutely delicious.
Fruit Raita - Cool and refreshing, the raita had a mix of fresh fruits, which added a sweet and tangy flavor – a great accompaniment to the rich curries.
Veg Lollipop - A crispy and flavorful starter, the lollipops were well-seasoned and served hot, making them a family favorite.
Masala Papad - Crunchy and topped with tangy onions, tomatoes, and a hint of spice, it was the perfect start to our meal.
Manchow Soup - The soup was flavorful, hot, and packed with the right blend of spices. A perfect appetizer for soup lovers.
Coconut Soup - This unique soup stood out with its creamy texture and mild coconut flavor, offering a soothing and slightly sweet touch.
Tandoori Rotis - The rotis were soft yet crisp, and they complemented the curries perfectly.
Onion Salad - Fresh, crunchy, and nicely presented – a simple yet essential side dish.
The restaurant also offered complimentary pappadums and a refreshing Keri Panna (raw mango drink) to start our meal. The panna was tangy, cooling, and a delightful surprise.
Service
The service was excellent! The food was served quickly, and the staff was attentive to our needs without being intrusive. Despite the busy environment, the team managed everything seamlessly.
Overall Experience
Guru Kripa delivered an outstanding dining experience. The food quality, variety, and efficient service made our family outing truly enjoyable. If you are looking for delicious vegetarian food in Indore, Guru Kripa is the place to be!
I would highly recommend this restaurant for families, friends, or anyone who enjoys great-tasting food in a welcoming environment. We will definitely be...
Read moreIf you are thinking of booking this restaurant for your kid's birthday or a small party please read this.
I had the most awful and terrible experience in this restaurant. I had booked it in January 2025 for my boy's birthday party. Here is what I experienced:
They will first deposit the advance and then tell you that's it's not refundable. Not before just after you transfer the money.
I talked to the cordinator vinay Pathak. Initially he said he will not let us decorate the place with our private decorator. When we told him that we had done the same at our last place he agreed. Eventually he put us in so much strain on last week that you can't do this and you can't do that that we had to book him.
We paid around 8k for decoration. We had selected a particular theme for the party and the guy screwed us up. Most of our decoration were from a party of before. I had boy and they set up the sticker "it's a girl" and basically the total they spend wasn't even 800 but it costs us 8k
Food was fine but they had a rule of serving starters just 1 hour after party (we were not informed of this rule earlier) I had to beg them to let it continue as more than half an hour was done in photos and meeting other people only.
The service was rude. And they didn't care about anything. I was charged around 65-70k for 4 hours. Trust me you can do so much better in this money somewhere else. I come from a reputed job and they didn't even cared about their reputation. All they wanted was the money.
Trust me you can spend that 70k somewhere else and do a 1000 times better job that this. We are simple people so we didn't argued with them and just paid them because I didnt had any back up. I would advice to not book this place for events. Its not worth your hard earned money. My kids were devastated because the theme was fully wrong. These guys are not professionals in terms of organising parties and are plainly greedy. Just avoid them or write down terms and conditions and make them sign them before having...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Dutt Gurukripa during my visit to Indore, and it was an absolute culinary delight. This iconic eatery truly lives up to its reputation for serving some of the best local dishes in the city.Food (5/5): The star of the show was undoubtedly the Poha, which was a burst of flavors and textures that left me craving for more. The softness of the Poha mixed with the crunch of fresh sev and the subtle spices was a taste sensation. Pair that with their mouthwatering Jalebi, and you have a perfect combination of sweet and savory. It's no wonder this place is famous for these dishes.Ambience (4/5): While Dutt Gurukripa is more of a no-frills establishment, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the bustling crowd of food enthusiasts, added to the overall experience. It's a place where you come for the food, and you won't be disappointed.Service (4/5): The service was efficient, and the staff were friendly. It's a self-service place, so don't expect extensive table service, but the quick turnaround time for orders is commendable.Value for Money (5/5): Considering the quality and taste of the food, the prices at Dutt Gurukripa are extremely reasonable. You get a hearty, satisfying meal that won't put a dent in your wallet.Overall, Dutt Gurukripa is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Indore. It's a local institution where you can savor the authentic flavors of the region. I can't wait to return and try more of their culinary delights on my next trip to Indore. Highly...
