Disappointing Experience Despite Great Ambiance
Visited Ming Dynasty with high expectations, but sadly, the food experience was a letdown. Almost every dish we ordered was excessively sweet, lacking the authenticity you would expect from Asian cuisine. The only item we somewhat enjoyed was the soup, though even that leaned a bit too sour.
Service in terms of speed was acceptable, but the staff seemed poorly trained when it came to helping guests navigate the menu. Despite clearly stating our preference for less sweet dishes at the outset, every item brought to our table tasted overwhelmingly sweet — even the Thai curry, which was shocking.
What added to the disappointment was falling sick the very next day with a stomach infection and loose motions — a serious red flag about food hygiene.
Only saving grace: the ambiance, which was genuinely impressive. But for us, great décor can't compensate for subpar food and questionable hygiene. Definitely...

Perfect way to spend an evening with the Chinese fare. We went for the recommendations given by Shubham who served us with par excellence. For starters we had Honey chilli Lotus stem (little sweet), and Diced cottage cheese(simply wow). In main course we went for Cashew & Chilli fried rice(exotic) and Paneer Sapo (special dish not on menu). For mocktails, we had Lemon iced tea and Virgin mojito. Cost per pax is ₹1000 to ₹1200 (including tax) with starters, main course...

Coming to the taste, it's of course not averagely priced given that it's a heritage hotel, but the food is good and justified the price point unlike the Minto hall or any overhyped places of Bhopal.
The service is top notch. The ambience is great and aesthetically pleasing. Given it offers a great view of Upper Lake and the city, one can enjoy great sunset dates and views from here.
Highly recommended out of all extravagant restaurants in Bhopal if food and taste matters...
