KFC — Restaurant in Madurai

Ambience - Standard KFC dining area, clean and tidy, the restaurant was completely occupied but we were (family of four) able to find a table within five minutes. 4✴️

Hand wash was dirty, there was a team member stationed by the door who was incharge of the dining area cleanliness, he could have kept the hand wash tidy but for some reason he didn't. 2✴️

Service - we waited around ten minutes in the queue, the order taker had enough knowledge of the products and the menu. He didn't suggest any value options, honoured all my requests and answered my questions but tried to rush us. For some reason they had just Pepsi and all other soft drinks were out of stock. We paid using cash and he handed a ticket with our order number. I never got a bill for my order. 3✴️

We ordered eight pieces of chicken strips, four pieces of hot and spicy chicken with Pepsi and fries, vegi butter with fries and Pepsi and vegi Maggie (when I asked if there was any option to add fries and drink he declined and we got them separately) 3✴️

After a wait of twenty minutes we got called to pick our order. All our menu items were present but a fork to enjoy the Maggie wasn't. I requested one and the team member instantly apologized and gave me one. 4✴️

Food :- Appearance - Everything looked appetizing and fresh with the yellowish orange color of a flame . 5✴️

Aroma - When we opened the boxes we were hit by an appealing and fresh aroma. 5✴️

Texture - Chicken strips, thighs and breasts we're all crispy to touch. Fries were stiff and not limp. 5✴️

Maggie was completely lumped up, it was like a dough ball. I tried to pick it up with the fork and it was almost impossible. 0✴️

Temperature- Chicken strips, thighs and breasts were warm to touch including the Fries. 5✴️

Maggie was almost cold. 1✴️

Flavour - Chicken strips, thighs and breasts had the proper spice and heat as usual and tasted excellent. Fries had crispy outer and starchy inner layer and tasted perfect. 5✴️

Maggie was a total disappointment to say the least. I would recommend to stay away from it. This being a promotional product I do not understand why no attention went into preparing it. 0✴️

The overall experience based on this visit was 2.5✴️. I need to mention that my request for extra serviettes and ketchup was honoured promptly with a smile. Our order taker was out of bills, the team leader and manager were having a chat standing right next to him, there was no help offered with the bills even when he asked for some.

am not a frequent visitor to KFC’s generally, but I have always felt the quality of the food and service to be consistent across the brand and as such very acceptable to me. Unfortunately this KFC (White Rose Way Lakeside Factory Outlet Doncaster) takes the prize for being the worst ever and as such has completely demolished my trust in the entire KFC brand! Our group of three had a truly abysmal restaurant experience. The ordering process was okay and the food was served within a relatively short time. Where we chose to sit however proved to be directly under the heater ceiling vent and the downdraft became progressively colder. Finding an alternative table that was clean proved to be a challenge, so we opted for the least contaminated with food debris and litter. We were treated to very terrible noisy music delivered via the cheapest sounding speaker you could imagine. As for the food our chicken pieces and chips were barely warm and the chips soon lost the little heat they possessed and we didn’t eat them. The standard of cleanliness in the male and female toilets was disgraceful; the brown stained toilet bowls looked like they had been that way for years! I was in no mood for making a complaint as we were under time pressure to complete our journey and given the state of the place I doubted that anyone would care anyway!
