Restaurant Review: A Food Affair – A Culinary Delight for All Ages
Our third visit to A Food Affair at La Serene Resort, Mahabaleshwar, was yet another delightful experience. This restaurant never fails to impress with its delicious food, warm hospitality, and serene ambiance. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with family, or with kids, this place ensures an enjoyable dining experience for everyone.
Ambiance & Family-Friendly Service
Set in the lush greenery of Mahabaleshwar, the restaurant offers a peaceful and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing meal. What truly sets it apart is how kid-friendly it is! They offer special seating arrangements for babies with high chairs, ensuring comfort for little ones. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly, and they even prepare customized food for babies and kids, making it a stress-free dining experience for parents.
Food & Flavors
The food at A Food Affair is always exceptional—fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and beautifully plated dishes. • Starters: We started with the Prawns Tawa Fry and Prawns Rawa Fry, both of which were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, packed with authentic coastal flavors. The French Fries were a hit, crispy and golden, loved by both kids and adults. • Main Course: The Butter Chicken stole the show—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavors. It paired wonderfully with soft, fluffy Butter Naan, making for a comforting and indulgent meal. • Desserts: The meal ended on a sweet note with Malai Kulfi, which was creamy, refreshing, and a perfect way to wrap up the dining experience.
Final Thoughts
With excellent food, a relaxing ambiance, and a family-friendly approach, A Food Affair continues to be our top choice in Mahabaleshwar. Whether you’re dining with friends, family, or little ones, this restaurant ensures a memorable experience for everyone. We’ll definitely be back again!

Read moreWe went to this place after checking out Google reviews but had an absolute disappointment. The food taste was just average. Chicken patiyala that we had ordered was just a big egg omlette with some bits of chicken mince and lot of gravy. Paneer makhanwala was spicy. The staff was not at all trained and did not know a thing about any of the dishes...even rice. They didn't know how to serve food. We just asked him to leave it there and helped ourselves. The cutlery and the glasses on the table were not clean and I had to ask them to change everything. Lid of the water jar on the table was full of dust I don't know when was it cleaned last time. Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures as I was occupied in getting everything removed from my table. As we had come here for dinner and did not want to go looking for another place in the night with our kids we continued here. But would highly recommend to...
