I recently visited Arabian Mandi and had a delightful dining experience that I would highly recommend. Here’s a detailed breakdown of my visit:
Food:
Chicken Al Faham Mandi: The Chicken Al Faham Mandi was an absolute delight. The chicken was perfectly grilled, tender, and juicy, with a smoky flavor that complemented the spices beautifully. The rice was aromatic and cooked to perfection, absorbing all the flavors of the spices and chicken.
Chicken Barbeque Mandi: Equally impressive, the Chicken Barbeque Mandi featured succulent chicken pieces marinated in a rich blend of spices and herbs. The barbeque flavor was distinctive yet well-balanced, making each bite a treat. The rice, similar to the Al Faham Mandi, was flavorful and a perfect match for the chicken.
Masala Papad (Starter): The Masala Papad was a great start to our meal. It was crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with a generous mix of fresh onions, tomatoes, and spices, providing a nice crunch and a burst of flavors.
Ambiance and Seating:
Arabian Mandi excels in creating a captivating dining atmosphere. The restaurant offers two distinct seating options:
Tables and Chairs: For those who prefer a more conventional dining setup, there are tables and chairs arranged neatly, providing comfort and convenience.
Cushioned Floor Seating: For a more authentic and cultural experience, there is an option to sit on the floor with proper cushioning. This setup is not only comfortable but also adds to the unique ambiance of the restaurant. The decor is thoughtfully designed, with beautiful lighting and traditional elements that enhance the overall experience.
Service:
While the food and ambiance were outstanding, the service could use some improvement. The staff was courteous and attentive, but the service was on the slower side. There were noticeable delays in taking orders and serving food. This is an area where Arabian Mandi could work on to ensure a smoother and more efficient dining experience for their guests.
Overall Experience:
Despite the slightly slow service, Arabian Mandi offers a dining experience that is well worth the visit. The combination of delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and unique seating arrangements makes it a standout place. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but given the quality of the food and the overall experience, it is justified.
Recommendations:
Food: Both the Chicken Al Faham Mandi and Chicken Barbeque Mandi are must-tries. Seating: If you’re looking for a unique experience, opt for the cushioned floor seating. Service: Be prepared for a leisurely meal as the service might be a bit slow.

Read moreThe ambience and indoor set up was very classy!
I wanted to taste the mandi rice, one of the staff went in and I could hear another staff shouting and asking ' why does he want to taste? Has he not had it before?'
A staff ame out with a serious expression and asked me to go to my table and wait for the food. So I explained that we have had mandi from abroad and just wanted to make sure we are not given biryani rice and called mandi.
He assured it was not the case. I managed to change his mood by telling him about my experience with mandi in kerala as well.
He brought a small place of Basmati rice, well cooked, plain flavor and topped with cashews and fried onions.
It didn't taste bad.
But it tasted nothing like an average mandi.
We were hungry and it was already getting late. So
We choose mutton seekh kebab mandi as he suggested. It was super spicy and there were 4 pieces of them.
I did Ask him if they used the same thing for biryani, he said the ri e quality would b different. He also said they cook the rice first and then cook the meat separate, which is nothing like any mandi.
Not a place I would suggest to try your first mandi.
But I bet their biryanis must be different from the ones you get else where in pune.
Also a little shocked to find alcohol served at 'arabian mandi'
3 stars for the very well cooked basmati rice, topped with cashews and fried onions and kisses. Like an afghan pulao.
5 stars for the ambience.
1 star for calling it mandi.
1 star for showing me his anger because I wanted to taste the mandi rice. Which did taste exactly like like biryani rice with a...

I recently visited this restaurant named 'ancient Hyderabad' located in Xion mall,Hinjewadi.
Food wasnt worth mentioning. So you can imagine the quality and experience. What is worth mentioning is that they served water bottle at the rate of 20rs (1 litre) but a 250 ml cold drink bottle at 40rs which cost RS.15 MRP. When I took this up with the restaurant Manager, he quoted- 'we have mentioned it in the menu. We have to consider the transport, loading and carriage charges too. So the total comes up to 40rs.'
I was surprised with this kind of reply. First of all you mentioning it in the menu doesn't make it legal. Secondly, the whole retail runs on the same concept of carriage and transport. And after that the cost is quoted as 15rs. But I guess this restaurant uses airplane to transport hence the whooping charges.
I don't want to pass any opinion on people who are running a food business here but one thing is for sure- no standards on food quality, no standards on pricing and complete negligence is a common practice. No actions are taken against the trespassers. People don't just pay for a service, they pay for an experience. After speaking to this restaurant manager I learnt about the most pathetic version of hospitality. Rude, abnocsious, creepy and threatening body language. He would have kicked us out if he could lift us. Anyway, bad experience. Don't go...
