Please avoid this place, save your money for a better cause !!
Its hight time we should realize that such owners are taking due advantage of you and your cravings by charging exorbitantly. You buying their overhyped products is encouraging them more and more to increase their prices which has crossed all its limits in past few years.
On top of it, they dnt allow you to try any of their gold shredded fudges or products. You want to taste, buy their half a thousand rupees fudge, if you dnt like, throw it.... TRY a new flavor next time (FYI, yes, i saw one of the answers to similar review where they mentioned that they have hundreds of products and hence they cannot allow tasting.. So is the case with zillion other Maganlal shops in lonavala who surely have more products than yours, that too at half a price. Still they upfrontly, politely and wholeheartedly offers to taste before we invest our hard earned money.. So owner can try a different answer this time)
While I equally agree that their taste is not at all bad, one of the best in market... but definitely not sooo extraordinary for which one should pay 450 for 250 gms. Hardly 10 spoons what you may get !!
Again, Pastry starts from 400 rs, with price of a 5 star hotel...while we understnd they do have many expenses behind this pricing, cooper's definitely doesn't have much!! Also, I am a home baker and I know well how much it takes at Max, using best quality ingredients to sell same products and you will be surprised to know, they have minimum net profit of 10 times their selling cost... to be precise!
They have flied too high without considering their price limits and the downfall is surely on the way which the owners are yet to realise.
I saw hardly 3 customers in their shop ony last visit on a new year..which clearly indicates their progress. Its not about money that ppl like me should stop buying, its about where you are putting your money and how you are being fooled.. With no boundaries in price hike, months by months... Their products are no where close to the food of Gods, that they think they are selling here..
Frankly, One of my favorite places which I never missed to visit has now been the one which I would...
Read moreToday i.e. 4th Oct 22, I ate the best fudge on this planet and met the best ever and most kind-hearted fudge maker and owner of Coopers, i.e., Ms. Ruby Irani. High admiration & respect for the lady at Cooper's !
I just came to hang out and explore some of Lonavala's places, and while googling, I just came across the word fudge, and then when I searched "The best fudges to eat in Lonavala", the name Cooper's fudge popped up. It had a fantastic rating of 4.5 stars from over 5k+ people, so I simply clicked on the directions and followed the map, while I was walking I had no idea that there were two branches of it and randomly, I mean totally randomly, I landed at their newly constructed outlet that is Cooper's Fudges Branch 2, which is a bit far from the station as compared to their branch 1, but Google didn't show me either one and directed me towards their branch 2, which I was completely unaware about. As soon as I arrived I saw a very nicely designed and newly constructed outlet ! I walked into the store and began looking at their merchandise. The wide range led me to confusion, and so I asked one of their employees which was the best thing to try out. He suggested I try their most amazing and delicious chocolate walnut fudge, so I inadvertently asked for a taste of it but he said “Sir it's against our policy and we don’t give taste sorry”. When the lady sitting in the chair noticed this, she said, "Child, you just try it once." We guarantee that our fudge will not disappoint you, and it has never failed to do so until now, so we do not provide taste. I said, "fine give me one box and I'll try," and believe it or not, the flavour of the walnut fudge was out of this world! It was simply incredible!
In fact, I requested them to pack one more box.
Friends, simply visit the store with your friends and family and experience the most delicious, flavourful and authentic range of fudge!
The legacy and taste have been passed down for over a century, yes there are from more than 100+ years!
Thankyou to the most generous person I ever met, Ms. Ruby Irani and Congratulations to her daughter Ms. Rashma Irani for the success.
Hope...
Read moreHighly disappointed by the food quality and staff's behaviour. Their fudge was all stale, they have a cafe opened above, I ordered coffee which was sooo sooo bad in taste and the staff kept arguing with me saying that's how it's made like I have never had a coffee in my life ever???? They have no idea what the customer's order is, they have no clue what they are making and serving. Talking about Korean cream cheese bun, it wasn't fresh at all. I'm pretty sure the good reviews here are all the paid ones. There wasn't a single thing that I could name as a good one, poor customer service, arrogant staff, bad quality food and what not. Cooper's should really need to take some tips on good customer service and quality food from other vendors in the market who give the best quality products at very low rates. Will never recommend this place to anyone ever.
My personal suggestion to people reading this review and to Cooper's as well, Go try sweets and other delicacies from Maganlal, you'll know what a good customer service and quality food looks like and customers there don't have to stand in long queues unlike Cooper's who make their customers wait in long queues taking advantage of their fondness towards food, what kind of 100year old brand does that...
