Royal Castle Family Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Recently had the absolute misfortune of dinning in this terrible hotel. The manager was unbelievably rude and had absolutely no respect for the guests. I was shocked by how poorly I was treated.

Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The manager should be truly ashamed of his behavior, and I sincerely hope this review makes him reflect on how disgracefully he treated paying guests. A sincere apology would be the least he could offer after such a distressing experience. The most egregious issue was the hotel's absurd and poorly communicated policy regarding outside food. There were absolutely no signs or indications anywhere in the hotel or on their website prohibiting the consumption of outside food. We were dining in our room when a staff member barged in, berating us for bringing in food and It felt as though they were more concerned with asserting their authority than providing a positive guest experience. To add insult to injury, the food served at the hotel restaurant was abysmal. The portions were pitifully small for the exorbitant prices charged. Reply for your arrogant response: Ok Boss, you think restricting a health conscious lady from eating homemade healthy food makes you happy, that’s the reason your restaurant was empty. We were only one who dared to enter there only in first place but after seeing the staff’s behaviour we regretted it instantly & got to know why the restaurant was empty. We were group of 3 & ordered food for 2 people, but you sounded like we were freebies & eating only outside food. If you remember correctly we paid nearly ₹1800 & you were asking ₹200 extra for just allowing one of our member her outside diet food, where’s the humanity man, grow up. After facing the humiliation at your restaurant we had gone to the nearest famous Biryani house (don’t want to say the name but everybody knows about it) & ordered only one biryani. Staff is not at all friendly. Manager behavior was too rude and he showed arrogancy. Worst staff. Average food and the worse experience ever.

Reply for your non-worthy response: Let the people decide whether my review is worthy or not. The judge gives the decisions & not the lawyers fighting in court room. Also, if outside food is not allowed, write it somewhere outside your hotel in big bold letters or at least on menu card. Asking extra money for food that I had brought shows how much pathetic you and your staff were! There were 2 more people along with me who had ordered enough food, we were not eating anything for free. So next time if someone's consciously avoiding outside food, show some courtesy.
