On our way back from a long, exciting day in Lonavla, we decided to take a break at the Grand Food Plaza. After starting early in the morning and spending the day outdoors in the rains, everyone was a little tired and needed some refreshments before continuing the drive back to Mumbai. The food plaza turned out to be a great stop with plenty of choices for everyone.

Two of us headed straight to Third Wave Coffee, where the strong, aromatic cappuccino with a double shot was just the pick-me-up needed. The rich coffee, paired with a soft butter croissant, was comforting after the day’s fatigue. The café’s cozy and warm ambience was a welcome contrast to the rainy evening outside, making it the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and soak in the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group chose the comfort of McDonald’s, With its familiar menu and quick service, it offered the ideal option for those craving something more filling and familiar. Burgers, fries, and hot beverages from McDonald’s added a casual, cheerful vibe to the stop, and it was nice that everyone could pick according to their mood.

What made the experience even better was the overall setting of the food plaza. Spacious, well-organized, and lively, it gave us the chance to stretch our legs, enjoy the different food options, and simply relax together. The rains added to the charm, with the outdoor buzz of travelers making it feel like a little community stopover for all those returning from hill-station getaways.

Overall, the Grand Food Plaza was more than just a quick stop — it gave us comfort, choice, and the much-needed energy boost to continue our journey back home, making it a memorable part...

You'll get to this place only if you are traveling on the expressway. So, unless you are riding on as bus, you'll get here by car. So let me start my review with the parking.

This place has a large parking lot, but needs to be better managed during peak times. While entering, you get the impression that the lot is full, but usually there's space available deeper down the lot, or soon becomes available, as people are there just for a snack/meal and not an overnight stay. A simple free/busy counter will help alleviate the scarcity mentality that is so ingrained in us 🙃 Also, such parking lots ought to be covered to protect from rain/sun; nothing fancy, just a shamiana would also suffice. That will make it a whole lot more convenient for us customers.

After you've parked your (p)ride, the next most likely activity will be relieving yourself. The restrooms are well-maintained & hygienic, and can handle busloads of people arriving at once. There's always some housekeeping staff mopping & cleaning.

Finally, coming to the food, which is what you'll get to after you've parked your car and relieved yourself, and which you are more interested in than all the stuff above 🙂.

There are a variety of cuisines - Maharashtrian(श्री दत्त), South Indian (Udupi to Mumbai), chaat (Kailash Parbat) and American fast-food (McD, KFC, BK) The food court has a vibrant decor and is well-lit and well-ventilated. There is ample & comfortable seating for groups of all sizes. McD & BK also have...

Nice place to take halt on Mumbai -Pune express way while traveling from Pune to Mumbai. Well arranged stores with adequate sitting area . Presence of all well-known food chain brands available in India at one spot . Found very crowded especially on weekends and festival days. Common area should have bit more . Also if it can be arranged with multiple billing counters common for all stores then it will have proper balance of the load. Unique presence of Shree Dutta Snacks with brands like Kailash Parbat,McD,Burger King etc adds chery on the cream. Parking is also weak part of this mall which need to be addressed immediately especially on weekends and long holidays and festival season. Wash rooms are comparatively clean hope it will be maintained forever unlike other places on this Highway. All in all good place if you want few minutes break to recharge yourself in Pune Mumbai journey. Open time for 1 or 2 shops like KFC, McD or Shree Dutta snacks should be 24 hrs or it can be arranged in cycle for every 3-4 shops evry day or weekly. It will help lot to customers...

If you are traveling to Mumbai from Pune via the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, this food court near Khalapur is worth a stop. It is located approximately 85 kilometers from Mumbai, Dadar. It is super clean and spacious. It has multiple food outlets like McDonald’s, Starbucks, Burger King, Wow Momo, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Coastal Curry, Domino’s, Faasos, Shri Datta Snacks, Udupi To Mumbai, and many more. The second floor is still under construction, but I did spot a Skechers store already open. I visited on a Monday morning, and it was peaceful with very few people around. Parking was free and ample, which added to the convenience. I opted for my usual comfort food - French fries from McDonald’s, and my order was served in just 7 minutes. If you are on the lookout for a clean, well-organized food court with plenty of options while traveling to Mumbai from Pune, this is the place to visit. Ratings: Quality - 4.7/5 Quantity - 4.8/5 Service - 5/5 Price - ₹500 for 2 people For more mouthwatering food content, don’t forget to follow @chefvaidehipathare on Instagram!
