Ah, the scent of fresh seafood, the sizzle of spices dancing in hot oil, the promise of a culinary adventure – that's what Hotel Abhishek delivers in spades. This isn't just any restaurant; it's a temple to the bounty of the sea, where every dish is a hymn to the flavors of the ocean.
Freshness First: The star of the show, undoubtedly, is the seafood. From the glistening scales of a whole snapper to the plump shells of juicy mussels, everything arrives with an undeniable air of ocean-freshness. You can practically taste the briny kiss of the waves in each bite.
Culinary Canvas: But the magic doesn't stop at the ingredients. The chefs at Hotel Abhishek are artists with a palette of spices. Whether it's the fiery vindaloo that sets your tongue ablaze or the delicate coconut curry that melts in your mouth, each dish is a masterpiece of flavor. They capture the essence of coastal cuisines, from Kerala's coconut-kissed curries to Goa's fiery vindaloo, with nuance and finesse.
Beyond the Plate: The ambience complements the food perfectly. The gentle hum of conversation, the soft glow of nautical-themed décor, and the rhythmic clink of cutlery all create an atmosphere that's both lively and relaxing. It's a place where you can linger over your meal, savoring each mouthful and letting the flavors transport you to a seaside haven.
Not all sunshine and seashells: While I can't fault the food or the atmosphere, there are a few things to consider. The service, while friendly, can be a bit slow on busy nights. And the price tag reflects the quality of the ingredients and the unique dining experience, so be prepared to splurge a bit.
The Final Verdict: If you're a seafood lover in search of an unforgettable culinary journey, then Hotel Abhishek is a must-visit. With its commitment to fresh ingredients, masterful cooking, and a charming ambience, it's an experience that will leave you wanting more. Just be prepared to loosen your purse strings and practice your patience, and you'll be rewarded with a meal that's as...
Read moreHaving heard a lot of Hotel Abhishek in Chiplun, we finally decided to give it a visit on our way to my village & were we left disappointed or what.
First, the long waiting time which I am sure is only due to naive customers who rush to the Hotel looking at highly paid social media posts & then the subtle thuggery committed by the Hotel management by putting up pictures of Marathi celebrities which also creates much hype in the customers' minds but what awaits them is nothing but a rude shock.
After having waited a long time, when the customer finally gets a seat, what awaits him is pathetic ambience, arrogant waiters & high-priced food with small portion size.
We had ordered Surmai thali, Bombil thali & Prawns thali. We were shocked to see the size of the Surmai fry which is priced at Rs. 470/- & when asked about it, the waiter told us to put a complaint at the cash counter where the idiot Cashier shouted that for a bigger size of fish we need to ask for a Special Thali (Not to mention this detail is not mentioned in their Menu & the waiter while taking the order also didn't think it of any importance to mention such trivial things). The less said the better about the size of the Prawns & the quality of the Bombil Fry.
Asking for a bottle of water gets you sighs of annoyance from the Waiter as if our mere presence was an inconvenience to his otherwise lackluster day.
In the age of Digital India, Hotel Abhishek however believes only in dealing in Cash. Hope the Income Tax authorities are keeping a watch on them.
In conclusion, save yourself the agony & steer clear of Hotel Abhishek unless you have a penchant for experiencing disappointment. There are far better hotels in Chiplun where the food is fulfilling & the staff is courteous.
Note: Added the Pic of their Menu in which Prawns Rice Plate is clearly mentioned. Now waiting for the Owner to come up with some new lame excuse confirming their गिरे तो भी टांग उपर...
Read moreWe were traveling from Kudal to Mumbai and came across Hotel Abhishek Chiplun on Google, with 3.2k reviews and a 4-star rating, so we decided to stop and have dinner there.
However, once we sat down, we were told only thali was available. So we ordered 2 chicken fry thalis and 3 veg thalis. But after placing the order, we saw à la carte dishes being served to others. When we asked the server about it, he said, “It’s too time-consuming.” — which was quite disappointing and not acceptable because it's ore decision.
We then ordered chicken fried rice, but it arrived only after everyone had finished their thalis.
Now coming to the taste and pricing:
The chicken fry thali was good but don't have with Vada have with Bhakri, wada was dispointing
It was priced at ₹400 per plate, which felt too expensive for the quality and quantity.
The veg thali was completely bland and lacked any flavor.
Surprisingly, they served Tambda and Pandhara rassa, which belong to Kolhapuri cuisine, not Malvani – and both were tasteless.
In Marathi, there’s a saying: "Nav motha, lakshan khot" – and that sums it up perfectly. They have a big name, but the experience and food don’t live up to it.
🔚 Not recommended. If you still want to try it, go ahead — but do come back to this review and share...
