The Lagoon Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Maharashtra

The lagoon restaurant is located on the main highway while going from Chiplun southwards towards Goa and is well plotted on the map. In a town stuck in construction, the place has its own dedicated parking which makes it simpler to visit this place.

The restaurant has two sections, the front one serving snacks across the day and the one at the back which is serving meals.

While the food was super tasty, the restaurant wasn’t the best in terms of cleanliness and service. There were empty plastic bottles lying below the tables

What is on menu?The local specailities in both veg and non veg. Fresh fish, chicken, mutton, kombdi wade are on offer apart from Fish Thali, Mutton Thali, Chiken wade thali. The thali comprises of kombdi wade, Chicken, Sol Kadhi, Boiled egg, Pandhra rassa and Tambda rassa along with rice.

There also are veg starters comprising Paneer and non veg starters with both fish and chicken on offer. The snacks section has sandwiches, tea / coffee, pav bhaji, The taste is great, no complaints there. As compared to other places – this place is a little expensive.

Service: The service was really hit and miss with one of the staff being very attentive and quick while the other two just not bothered about service and interested in their own phones than serving guests.

In the sweltering heat, only thing one could have expected is an air conditioned section.

Recommendation: Fish (check before ordering), Kombdi wade chicken plate, Mutton wade...

I recently visited this restaurant during a trip to my native place. Since it was lunchtime and your restaurant looked appealing from the outside, we decided to stop by for a meal, expecting a good experience in terms of both food and hospitality.

Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. After placing our order, we waited for almost an hour with no update. The staff member who took our order did not return, and we had to ask about the delay ourselves. My mother eventually approached the counter to inquire, and only then was the food served.

The most disappointing part was that while the rest of us received our food, my mother's order was still not served. Given the long wait and the situation, she asked the staff to give her meal as a parcel instead.

We were really looking forward to a pleasant lunch, but the service let us down. I hope you take this feedback in a constructive way and make improvements, as your restaurant has the potential to offer a much...

Located conveniently on the highway, The Lagoon Restaurant in Chiplun offers a great spot to take a break during your journey. While the place is good overall, the prices are on the higher side.

Food Experience:

We tried the Cheese Pav Bhaji, which was amazing and definitely a highlight.

The Misal Pav was also excellent, with a perfect blend of spices.

The Vada Pav was good, and the Bread and Butter was enjoyable enough for us to reorder.

We finished our snacks with a refreshing cup of Chai.

The food quality was impressive across the board. However, the portion sizes were somewhat small considering the prices.

Overall Impression:
