Hotel Deepak Deluxe — Restaurant in Maharashtra

This is a small eatery. I would not call it a big restaurant too. Don't expect polished waters serving you meals. I had been here with 7 others the food was average in tast but served hot. The biggest reason it is so popular in and around Chiplun and travellers is because of the food cost and it on Mumbai Goa highway and Chiplun is a best place to take a pitstop. We ordered surmai and pomfret thali. It was served nice and hot pomfret thali was for rs. 280. Don't fall for the solkadi it was not at all good. If you ask me about the hotel ambiance I would recommend you to go to New Deepak restaurant as old Deepak restaurant does not have that great ambiance and sitting and also you might feel a bit reluctant to Tak your family because of the bar besides the eatery. All in all it was a nice experiencing food from the eatery that I have been hearing about from ages. If you are driving here make sure you know where to park or take some efforts to find a parking as this is a town and the rods in Chiplun are small. Happy eating. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Recently I visited this place along with my few friends for Lunch. The management was total disappointement . the waiters were not treating propely. We opted to have Fish thali and asked for bhakri , the waiter said no bhakri is available now you can either go for chappati or roti. Few min after that a group of 6-7 local people came to have Lunch and even they ordered fish thali with bhakri and the waiter did not refused this time and served them. atleast treat your customers equally . Secondly the food was not cooked propely. Prawns that was served was half cooked and was tastless. and when we informed the waiter he was unable to answer it. it was total disaster of management and food served. This is my old pending review which I am suppose to write way back. I grew up eating at this place whenever we used to visit our native place from Mumbai. It’s located in Chiplun, ST stand lane, very small food joint but authentic Maharashtrian “Zanzhanit” Konkan food. Fish thali , mutton thali and chicken thali. Mutton and fish is my favorite, too many flavors with spicy kick and fluffy Bhakari or Vade, yum yum 😋. If you’re driving from Bombay to Goa, pin this place on your map. Its on the way,takes only couple of mins. Parking is bit challenge but you can get spot within 2 mins walkable radius.
